Gardening - A lucrative business opportunity in Nigeria

Initiator of the WJ Series and Executive Director, Onboarding impact Consultancy Limited, Winihin Jemide has described the art of Gardening and floral arrangement as one that has the potentials of providing viable business opportunities in Nigeria if developed.

According to her, gardening is a lucrative business which requires little or nothing as startup capital. However, she says the art must come with passion as only then would it make a difference as a business.

Gardening, flowers and floral arrangements have become firmly established as a lucrative business in developed Countries and Nigeria as well. The art of gardening requires patience, care and a desire to nurture and grow a flower, first as a seed and then as a flowering plant’.

She was speaking ahead of the Garden Show of Nigeria scheduled to hold June 21-22nd at the Oriental hotel Lagos. According to her, the event will provide unique opportunities for individuals or companies to exhibit or advertise their services in the mist of potential clients and consumers.

The Garden Show is being put together by the WJ Series in collaboration with the Garden and Flower Club of Nigeria, and it is the first in series of shows, offering an explosion of colors, textures and scents, along with an abundance of gardening ideas, products and services.

About 1,000 guests are expected to attend the 2 –day event, which is also expected to attract both the young and old and up to 82% ‘buy’ or ‘order’ products online.
