At a service held yesterday, Sunday January 13th at his church auditorium, Pastor Chris Okotie told his members (a few of them LIB readers :-)) that tattooing their body or even undergoing plastic surgery is
not a sin before God. He said a lot of people misinterpret a scripture in the bible which is supposedly against body art and enhancement. He said getting tattoos and plastic surgery is an individual decision and has nothing to do with God.
Some people don't agree with him. Me I do sha! :-).I think God cares more about what's in your heart and soul more than what you're putting on your body. What do you think?

But of course wat do u expect from a man who has been divorced twice and sees nothing wrong with it, n who lied to Nigerians at different times during presidential elections that God had told him he wld be the next president of the country? For those who follow the teachings of their pastors and not wat God says, the bible says "workout UR salvation with fear and trembling" (meaning salvation is personal), remember that ur pastor is a human being, and when the time comes, he wld stand before God and be judged just as everyone else wld be judged. Then is very clear to me now dat dis man is not a man of God has he claimed. He should go back to his bible if he reads d same one with every oda persons, d bible forbids tatoo; i dont kno of plastic surgery. but come to think of it except for for obvious medical reasons why sud any one go for plastic surgery?

Though am not a Christian but do read the bible for reference purpose... but in a Nutshell does that means the so called pastor hasn't read the BIBLE to Leviticus 19:28 or maybe i would say the so called verse of the bible is WRONG or NEGATIVE... please i need someone to shed more light... For the person who posted Leviticus 19:28. Did you read the whole chapter... its not good to list a part of the bible to make selfish conclusions. Lev 19:27 says, "you shall not shave around the sides of your head, nor shall you disfigure the edges of your beards." Does this mean, no Mohawk? lol
I agree with Linda . If u have a tattoo and become born again ,r u going to remove that part of ur body? Beside those days pple write their names on there body ,even tribal marks to show where u r from and tattoo to show u directions always. Pls let God be God. And man be man. The bible never said u will die by putting tattoo on ur body or that u will go to hell, once u get born again . Old things have passed away and all things becomes new wether u have, tattoo all over ur body or not. Safe
I can see that many of you guys don't read your bible && out of those many most of you guys are not truly "christians". You count other people sins but in the end it will never make you a SAINT. Some are so quick to quote lev 19:28 but in Lev 19:26 it says "Ye shall not eat anything with the blood..." meaning that anything that has blood in it must not be eaten. Lol. I bet every single one of you have ate meat..etc. Enough said! Smh.stop judging others && get to know your lord more. What you do with your body is what comes from your heart. So God cares about everything you do. You belong to Him and created you for His Glory. If there is part of your life that do not belong to God then you don't belong to Him

Linda if u must know, there were so many things in the old testament that were not Law, some are pure natural things God dislikes e.g is the tattooing. it wasn't a law, God hates it naturally and we must abide with it cause he is our maker. he has the right to prescribe wat our body should look like. and as for u Linda, if u think he is right just to pull traffic to your blog, i tell u this truth, God will hold u cos the scripture says for every words we speak the angels takes record and we can not say it was a mistake
