Yaya Toure wins Glo-CAF African Player of the Year 2014
Cote d'Ivoire's Yaya Toure beat Nigeria's Vincent Enyeama and Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to win the 2014 African Player of the Year. The fourth time he will win it - 4 years in a roll. Congrats to him but I think Enyeama should have won.

Yaya is a great player no doubt but considering their individual achievement for 2014 which was what this award was supposed to be based on Enyeama did better than Yaya both at national team sides and club sides...... Enyeama won the best Africa player in French league and later won the overall best player in the French league for 2014....... well maybe other things that we don't know are also put into consideration but sentiment apart I think Enyeama should have won the award not Yaya!
Our keeper won the African nations cup, he won the best keeper of the tournament, he won the best keeper of the French ligue, goal gave him best player in Nigeria, now apart from the EPL what has yaya done?!
Linda, you're right. Enyeama should have won. He nearly beat the record for the longest period without conceding a goal in France. It is just that keepers are not rated, otherwise his record is as good as almost beating the highest goal scorer record of strikers. He was even voted the best keeper in France for the second successive season..
