I know in a way we still have to hear from the man. Just to be sure of what happened. But it isn't acceptable to hit anybody, let alone a woman that might not have been able to defend herself. The injury was too much and seriously, it's no use staying in a marriage where your life is in danger. Women, you should speak up if you are receiving any kind of abuse, put the person on blast or simply leave if you cannot handle it. I doubt if the for better for worse rule was made with these kind of situations in mind. For wounding and for bruising is in a different marriage doctrine and not the one we all know.
It might be hard to come out but I hope more and more women keep coming out till this is drastically reduced. Also try to know the person you are with before you enter a relationship with the person.
