«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 296 of 296For real, I would b so scared I wouldn't want to stand d sight of d accident, I would drive past feeling guilty and scared.
First thing first, call for help by dialling the emergency numbers.
I would want to help but in Nigeria that's basically risking your life, soo the Nigerian part of me will make me zoom off
Honestly, I would rather get robbed than leave the person to die, it will haunt me but my fear is not being robbed it is actually being accused by the Nigerian police
Sincerely I won't. Why? Because am a lady and it's really not safe for me to stop @ a lonely bridge by 11.55 PM. I have to look out for my safety first!! *OBY
Truthfully, I wont stop driving, but il call d police and alert them immediately.
I would... No doubt. If it was me I would want someone to stop for me too
No it's risky for us both so i'll go look for help
Oh well it will take the grace of God for me to stop o because of the ideal of the time
Hell yeah.
Sincerely if this happen in nigeria and it's 11am forget 11pm, I won't stop but if I am in anoda clime I definitely would. If Nigerian police has harassed you before you will understand what am saying
Wao...This was the Accident involving the Access Bank car....Thank God one of the occupants survived and is hale and hearty.. and may the soul of the driver RIP........To the question, Nigeria has turned out the way it is today .. we trust no one.. i would probably not stop due to fear.. most probably the bridge will be dark due to no light and anything can happen....Lets all pray and be careful.. Na animmal FARM WE DEY
My sister make I no lie u ooo, I'll just shake my head and say Eyah and keep driving...
I wont...
Dats not late naw,
Yes I will
I cannot leave,I ll just pray that nothjng happens to me
maybe in a safer country like pakistan, egypt or syria...I wil help o. But if it happened in 'this nigeria'...I wont wait o. I dey mad? Why wil I evn look at it self!
nooooooooo
This is a difficult question. First you must put a lot of things into consideration: your present state of mind, did it happen in a country while one can easily call 911 or is it Nigeria where the emergency dept is ineffective??
honestly ... naaa
Not in nija!
I'm sorry buh hell to the no!!! Are u kidding me??? No!!!
Depends on the condition!!
i will definetly stop and help them out cuz maybe i would have been in their shoes bt God averted it so i will help
#milito da great#
Omo fear go greep me º°˚˚˚°Âº , bsides hw will I b able 2 lift dem alone wen dey ar already injured, I fit no help dem º°˚˚˚°Âº
Truth is initially I wont stop but my conscience wont let me rest so I'll eventually go bak.dats me . I'll help.
Till when e happen then i'd know..as for now...dunno...if there's street light..probability of helping increases
Hmmm! Its dicey
Most people won't wait.I will wait and help the person except if dead.
Though.... but then. What would Jesus do?
Though.... but then. What would Jesus do?
Na wa for you and laila today. Blogs just giving weird stories. Off course I will stop and help....
No! Not when am alone...its dangerous wiv all the robbers scouting!
I will surely stop to help...I'll rather risk death than watch them die...Am sincere here...kelvincarez
I wil call 911 that's if we av such workin in dis coountry! Besides wetin I det find @ dat kind time?
I don't think I will stop but I will call the Lagos state emergency lines for help.
Yes
Well! Have done something similar b4...but its not safe!
i will first look if there are any victims... if i see hem and there are no other people around i will help... i think.. you never know what can happen in the moment unless you are there...
I work with my instict lindodo,if it tells me stop n help,i will...but if it tells me dnt stop!! I wunt...cos it might actually b a trap...
Yeah I will! But I don't live in Nigeria. In Nigeria I doubt I would. There won't be enough light to see the car well enough lol
Oh please madam maleshian, learn to write good comprehensive English.
I will stay in my car and call 911 immediately and wait till they come.
Cud b anyone of us. If I witnessed the accident, I will stop. But if I'm just driving past 5 mins later, omo na to keep driving, e get y d oda ppl no stop
sincerely, i will stop.
I live in the U.S. so my answer might be different. First, you can't be the only one on the road at that time even at 3.00am people are still driving. If it happens that am the only one on the road, I will park my car, lock myself in, call 911, and wait till they come.
Na wa ooo!!! @ Sylvanus, na simple question dem ask you oo. You come here dey nack us super story. We no dey Nollywood oo.
Critical thinking 101.
SMH Nigeria people, all of una dey talk now say una go stop when time reach now none will stop...around 11:55pm oh make una see the time oh...I NO FIT STOP EVEN IF NA 8PM....FAKE-PEOPLE
Sure...I will.
must you comment always??? Watch your English abeg. Must there always be an error in your English? And must you announce to the world that you had an F in GES 100?
Super u.
This guy, ur nuisance value is off the hook, must you fucking comment on every shit??? U should sure FLED from this platfor mehn. Ur english teacher no go die well...
Almost die just to set a kid up? Think
Your advice is urgently needed!!!
-pls be constructive! its people's lives u'knw
Why not? It's only in Nigeria someone would even ask this question.
if d car had got d driver stocked in there, u cant break d car alone nd save him. Most of u dat says 'u wil help wil nt', cos its easier said dan done. d best option is to cal police or 911. even d police wil come maybe 2hrs afta d occurrence. A guy I know died d same way. Had an accident in d nite, bleeded al tru d nite, bt was saved in d monin, bt cldnt mak it afta he was rushed to d hospital
Dat IGBO BOY
No... I won't. It's not my fault...blame Nigeria and its insecurity.
Park nearby. Lock all doors. Keep ignition running. Switch on hazard warning lights. Call emergency services. Do not leave until they arrive. Stay alert & Remain in your vehicle. Your safety is paramount, you are no use helping another if you are dead/attacked.
Omo this is 9ja we are talking about o, i will just drive pass like i never saw the car and save my self the stress of telling the NPF stories of what i did not see and going to the station.
That was in the bible and if i can recall, were it happened was not 9ja.
Ok...
that was abj, kd express not gidi. Wooo yen arewa are different from people here o.... Here no one can be trusted.
#GBAM
Amen to that.
You sound like it's a movie we are talking about.
You wan sleep police station be dat.
True Nigerian. E be like say NPF done hold you b4
911 no dey work for 9ja.
Am sure you are not from Nigeria or in Nigeria, if not you will know 911 in Nigeria has never been.
The fact you can watch someone die is the more reason you would not stop. Just saying
#True9ja God bless you.
Call me please... Lmao
Because you are in 9ja...
Aunty your talk na wash.
#True9ja
Their is no 911 in Nigeria, here is some little advice for you. If you come to Nigeria and you see such drive off on top speed.
Yea I would. and I have before, I met an accident sometime last year at 3am on my way back from a a frens birthday in Yaba. My frens in the car with me were all too drunk to step outa of the car n too scared too. I carefully parked right infront of the accident car on the bridge and looked for the occupant all around were the accident occured but cound'nt find him. the car was upside down with headlights on tires still spinning but the occupant was nowere in sight. I left thou thinking some other Samaritan had helped. but to my dismay the nextday, coleagues that came to work the next day said he was found on the other side of the bridge in the morning dead. till dis day I still fill he was probably still alive at 3am and I would have saved his life if i had realised he was thrown outa his car to the other side of the bridge.
Errrr...is it by any chance the 3rd Mainland bridge?
Errrr...is it by any chance the 3rd Mainland bridge?
Am sorry to say but no I won't, I've experienced alot. A friend of my mine was shot in d stomach by his student... I rescued him to the hospital, I was later arrested as a suspect n locked up for days...
If God has given me the grace to Help,Y Not?remember it could ve been me or any of my Love ones, forget abt d danger attach to it I believe dat dat same God who has given me the grace to help wil surely n definitely stand by me.
I will call gor aid via 911.but all the same I will try my best to help out
but to be frank it must be scary out there
I will park near enough to see how bad the accident is. Then call for an ambulance. I honestly won't be able to leave my car cos of terror.
I will drive off and get help and return
I will call Lagos state emergency number and drive away. For him to overtake me, he must have been doing over 120km/hr so he must have had a death wish.
Secondly, if I manage to carry him to a hospital and he dies there, won't Nigerian Police not arrest me for killing him?
Linda,d way i ws trained,,i will wait n help.u neva cnt tell,u might b savin a life.den,if anytin bad happens,i will leave dt 2 God 2 judge.
yes of course. A life like yours is involved and by helping, you can save it.
If I was in another country I'd definitely stop without doubt. But in Nigeria? NEVER. May none of you ever be stuck on 3MB at 9pm let alone 11pm. You prolly won't say you'd stop and help the person. Tough situation to be in but I gotta protect my life first. You may think you're the 'only' other person on the bridge but I promise you you'd be surprised at the dozens of hoodlums that'd spring out of thin air.
I WILL WEIGH MY OPTIONS
Since it is a clear scene that is has an accident that involves him alone..i might help....everyone who is scared of helping others is because of the fear of how it my turn out.....the police might ask you to write a statement or even accused you of causing the accident....... i am segun
Yes. I will stop. Situations have been worse where we stood up and were counted. There is too much apathy in Nigeria, meanwhile we too want to be saved, rescued, helped, whatever. We must put in the work
In my mind I would pray and thank God thinking that would have been me - being a female and fearing that anything else may happen to me on that bridge I'd call my brother for back up (he and his crew) honest talk
Seriously how old are you? You mustn't comment on every topic that Linda posts.. She's not going to give you money in December for highest comments. Stop displaying your ignorance I beg you.
If its me, I will alert the public to help me for the rescue while I make my personal effort.
