The gunmen arrived the village around 5:30pm yesterday and started shooting people. Several houses and a secondary school were burnt down according to security officials who visited the village after the attack. One security personnel said he counted at least 40 bodies following the unexpected attack.
The attackers met no resistance from security agencies as they carried out their deed. Military men reportedly arrived after the men had gone and have taken over the security situation in the area.

Linda,some of these attacks are carried out with the knowledge of the millitary.Their ogas at the top are bribed and hence they keep mute when an attack is ungoing.Haba,you can't tell me BH are better trained than Nigerian army! While its an episode of wailing and crying on the part of poor civilians,d army on the hand pray that the killings shouldn't stop so that their allowances won't be cut short.Its a pity!

But I don't understand why security men is always arriving when this boko haram guys has gone, isn't their anything like Intel in the security operations? They should know when a hit is going to happen even before it happens, security operatives need to do more, they need to take risk, like doing underground investigations, like some operatives going undercover, they need to infiltrate this boko haram network, they need to make sacrifice by making sure they have an insider who will be a secret informate, Nigerian security operatives still has a lot to learn, and a long way to go
