Prominent lawyer and human rights activist Mike Ozekhome SAN was kidnapped with his driver last night Friday August 23rd along the Benin-Auchi road in Edo state. Edo state commissioner of police Mr Foluso Adebanjo said four policemen attached to the lawyer were also killed. The kidnappers are yet to contact his family or business associates.

It is indeed very sad what is happening in Nigeria, the situation now means no one can speak out on the injustices that the citizens may be going through for fear of being kidnap.I don,t know if all of these(Kidnapping) are for political reasons. Oba of Benin and the Governor should not keep quite about this.Even the federal Govt must set the necessary machineries to save him unhurt and apprehend all those behind this act and ensured that the families of the those killed get a full compensation without delay.
