Bola Tinubu's First Nation Airways Begins Operation

Ex-governor Bola Tinubu's new airline company - First Nation Airways (formerly Bellview Airline) has commenced operation.

The resuscitated airline, which the former governor and ACN Chieftain allegedly bought for $30 million, started operations on Thursday November 3, 2011, with its first flight plying Lagos/Abuja route.

Ooohhh weee! FIRST!!!
all i have to say is Jesus take the wheel. Hopefully these planes prove more effective and efficient than Bellview. Im hoping they didnt just paint and rebrand the planes, and they actually took safety into acount.

Wat a name!! First Nation?? Becoz I'm a Canadian, that just looks to me like an aboriginal airline..lol. As in native indian americans! We call the "First nations" people over here in Canada and I'm sure if a canadian visited Naija, they wont exactly wanna board a plane called "First Nation". Meanwhile hopefuly no plane crash sha becoz that bellview sha...

Obiageli are you saying you live in Canada or that you are a Canadian, because your write up isn't like that of a Canadian(even if you naturalize)rather it's more like that of an "Mgbeke"...

Meanwhile,Tinubu has yet to tell Nigerians nay Lagosians where he got the money from to start a newspaper business, television station, hotel, construction company and now an airline...there is certainly more to this than meets the eye.

It will still have the Bellview stigma attached to it....

I wouldn't have wanted to be on the first flight. It's like (testing. testing. testing. To crash or not to crash?)

This is where lasgidi's money went to

i really don't care what politicians stole what as long as its invested back into the economy.i will vote for an atiku who has invested his stolen money to develop adamawa or tinubi who has invested his tolen money back into lagos anytime anyway than a weak good luck jonathan who isn't doing anything.
i think this is awesome at least jobs will be created and nigerians will have a fully functional and safe airline

Nigerians should be very prayerful before bordering the plane because, blood must be used to appease their gods for a successful operation, i don't trust our niaja politicians one bit! they are in one devilish cult or the other!

On the other hand, we lack a maintenance culture, so am really scared of patronizing them!

Obiageli you sound so ignorant. You say you are Canadian. You of all people should know how ignorant it is to say something so uneducated, uninformed and hateful like a Canadian would not want to board a plane called first nation because of possible ties to the aboriginals/native Americans. Read up on some history, educate yourself so you don't sound so ignorant. The fact that they are referred to as first nation should give you some clue. Your statement is so racist and I am disgusted because you are obviously a minority living in Canada and would most likely be the subject of racist uninformed comments.

Now, back to the main topic. Though this first nation aircraft looks new and flashy, I have to say that it will take serious prayer for me to patronise them because of the links to bellview. I read somewhere that it still has former management staff of bellview on board.

I can tell you just a 3RD class citizen in Canada, making a statement that a Canadian would not board becoz of the name. Go read ur history on Aboriginals, native Indians and Australians and Go hug transformer abeg....

Tinubu is investing back in the economy, but time would tell..

ACN members were demonstrating in London for Tinubu not to face trail in Nigeria; he is opening First Nation Airways. I dey laff o!

No wonder the British Prime Minister did not come out of his office to see them. Is this the time to open airline? Goodluck o!

All these ex-governors.. taking the country's money to create wealth for themselves.. Nonsense.. He had better employ only NIgerians

Obiageli, no offence intended, is just that am reading ur comment to mean that the first nation, the aboriginals are underrated people, and u claiming to be canadian....may be u don't know u r third rated Canadian cos ur black...first nations are first rated Canadians, they get priorities before any other, they get everything up to university education for free, and they don't pay tax, including nice monthly allowance. Anyone to boast about being Canadians are the aboriginals, the rest have their ancestors walk into the country.... As a Canadian u need to embrace the aboriginal culture, know their history and stop under rating them. U
may Canadian by birth but u know nothing about Canada. Simply said, ur response, pls

@Obiageli, am sorry to say this: Ur write up to me does not make any sense or meaning.Pls go back and read it.

As for Bola Tinubu's "First Nation" airline, let's see how it goes cos I have the feeling it's still Bellview. God help us ooo.

i actually flew the flight from Abuja. And i must say it was better than most. More on time than aero - it left 30 minutes later than scheduled which only Dana or so can touch. But the Ac was controlled unlike Dana where it is either extremely cold or off due to the geriatric age of the craft. I believe first nation actually bought new planes.
Granted Tinubu has stolen money, however, this can actually turn out good if their flights are timely, their services are good and they are on par with competitors cost wise. It really isnt the time to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The company is providing employment for many Nigerians.
PS- I hate Tinubu with an undying passion, however lets see this thing for what it can possibly be.

Anonymous said...

so are we now saying its okay to steal as long as you put back a fraction by employing people so who e for employ bifor na goat? SMH at all of you who think this is justifiable? this is hypocrisy of the highest order if lets say a top PDP politician did this, no one will wait for any explanation we will all crucify him now that its Tinubu commonsense has gone to sleep.

What an inspiration!!! Just like marwa with albarka, then it was otedola's turn who used his son femi to allegedly form zenon. Now we have bola, well I am organising my cv to be Lagos state governor.... Amen

Anonymous said...

You all ask how he is making or how he made his money?Simple: he gets kickbacks from his loyal governors. But at least he is investing in the good of the "Nation" and I guess that's why he named it "First Nation".
