Popular Kenyan photojournalist and activist lampoons his country's politicians on twitter using hilarious cartoons and images

Boniface Mwangi is a photojournalist popular in Kenya both for his professional work and his sociopolitical activism. He took on his country's political elite on twitter this morning calling them out for their excesses. He started the #Iamsorry hashtag after a politician sued him for defamation and demanded an apology. More tweets after the cut..

The African leadership price by the Mo Ibrahim foundation should be converted to a price in a competition to determine which African country has the most corrupt rulers. The foundation should then use the price money to build something that will be directly beneficial to the poor people of the winning country. Suggestions include: Build vast housing estates and distribute the units freely to the very poor and homeless people; sponsor indigent students on full scholarships; set up farming communities in which the farmers are joint owners\shareholders or build wind turbines to supply power to the very poor communities.etc
