According to Sahara reporters who released the photos, Akpabio was heard making a call to a banker in Lagos state eiquiring why his card was declined. When SR contacted him, Akpabio said his card was declined because he had used the card to check out of the Four Seasons luxury hotel earlier in the day. Akpabio stated that his credit card had maxed out of its daily spending limit, hence he could not make use of it.

It declined because daily you cannot spend more than 190 pounds daily + withdrawal now with a Nigerian Card. Its good sometimes when people who are in a position to do something about Nigeria experience what other Nigerians suffer. To pay rent you withdraw over 7 days every month. So when you get to Abuja when they're discussing policies your ear will be open to reject bad policies.

This is not news worthy anyone's card could get declined. Linda yourself inclusive. There could be a block on the account by the fraud team for security reasons. This happened to me in UK and I had so much left on the card, All I had to do was ring my bank to clear security.
