Photos: Gov Fashola visits burnt section of Balogun market
Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola earlier today paid a visit to the
section of Balogun market that was gutted by fire yesterday January
12th. While sympathizing with the traders, the governor advised them to insure their properties so that in
situations such as a fire outbreaks, their insurance would cover their losses. More pics after the cut...
He Doesn't Need To Advice Them on getting an Insurance cover, they all know about Insurance, perhaps just few have while others don't.. Pele.. . . . .Disclaimer:: Raise Your Words, Not Your Voice. It Is Rain That Grows Flowers, Not Thunder..
Such a gentle man he is....very kind of him and may God bless him joh...i hope mama peace husband visited there too ¤ ¤¤¤GUTS OVER FEAR¤¤¤ ¤ ¤¤¤QUEENMAYA¤¤¤
Nne odikwa serious! My hrt goes out 2 the victims! And baba jst painted on 1 fact, and dats the benefit of insurrance! Its vital the public learn about dis fact.
Are you for real? Asking why he went to a popular market that gotten burnt to see things for himself and identify with them, at such a time. What were you asking again?
I was at the market today and I saw him....easy going with just few security.Lagos really loves him cos he was praised as he walked by, my sister even joined the crowd and ran after him. Hmmmm eko oni gbaje
Idiots like you hiding under a no name. Sugar mummy gbu kwa gi dia. It really annoys me when a post like this is being put up and all your senseless sense could produce is a foolish comment. I don't blame you atall 'sigh' #onelovefromsnow#
Thank you my sister. Whenever they want to take over a market, they first burn it down. Then they will take over and construct another one that will be waaaaaay out of the reach of the former occupants. Why is it that fire keeps moving from one market to another. Just be watchful and see what will happen to this market. People are just too gullible and are being taken for a ride.
On Gbajumo street there are these sheds along the road. Right on the road...these sheds are semi permanent structures cemented onto the road. Gbajumo was partly affected as its a street behind Balogun and those affected houses could have been salvaged much earlier if the Fire Engines could access the road. Shop owners on Gbajumo have lobbied and petitioned tire. No hope, I pray this incident will open the governments eyes to the risk involved in a lack of thoroughfare especially in a place of heavy congestion as found on Lagos Island. Its not about the revenue please, lives and property are also of importance Mr Governor and Government.
Very true. Sabotage, clear and simple. See what happened to yaba market. The same trend, now they built a huge plaza there that's too expensive for marketers to acquire, only the rich women. Such a shame. Mac10...
Honestly....someone like Fashola is what we need in this country.....this man is hard working...if this man rules this country....changes will b visible...
Nice of him, my adorable governor I wish he would support them financially cos I believe some of them never insecure their goods, as little as he can is enough for these terrible outbreak
God will surely bless you. It's Tinubu and Fashola that know what they have been planning about markets in Lagos. People should not be carried away by this feigned sympathy. Let's just watch out and see what would happen next in this drama series.
I want to believe this balogun market is now d center of political attention, pls can jimi agbaje go and sympatise with them....if Lagos state govt no burn am, something else go burn am..... The gods are wise! Gab2shoessaysso

I ve always said that the average ibo is too uncivilized, primordial and unsociable to be part of a society. An example is this ibo boy(Eze). What sort of question did he just ask. Anyway, your ancestors lived in a society where every man is an 'Obi' in his compound so I do not expect you to understand the meaning of commiserate.
@theconspiracytheorists, its possible, but where's the proof? The fact that you feel this way does't mean its true, it also doesn't mean anyone is gullible. You could be the one being played by your busy minds!

Fashola is a leader not a BOSS... He is truly a man of the people that big nose in Abuja needs to learn a few things
