The heavily armed robbers, who witnesses say were up to 25, came in four vehicles, and blocked roads leading to the commercial area. They attacked banks, commercial offices and shops and by the time they were done, many were dead.
They indiscriminately killed people including four policemen who engaged them, people who were withdrawing money from the ATM, students returning from school, shop owners and passersby. The worst part is, there was a police station close to the banks so they must have felt safe.
By the time the robbers finished and were making their escape, they killed five more people. Schools and banks closed the next day and the governor of the state paid a visit to the place yesterday. Really, this guy's are not armed robbers, they are terrorist. This is not the first time a massive robbery case like this will happen in ikare but people were not killed like this. Armed robbers done shoot people at sight unless they try to resist them or try to block their operations. Sometimes ago a daylight robbery of 5 banks happened along oba adesida road, they were heavily armed and still didn't kill people. This ikare robbery is looking more like a terrorist act to me than just mere robbery. I hope CNN's report about BH in the western Nigerian is not starting yet cos this was exactly how borno started.

That victim's picture with his full face, very visible may be someone's father or brother, how do you think his relatives will feel seeing this.
