Ibinabo Fiberesima talks about that car accident she was involved in that left a man dead
For those who don't know the story, Ibinabo was involved in an accident many years ago in Lekki Lagos that left the driver of the car she hit, dead. She was arrested and charged but she's since settled with the court and the victim's family.
I've never been a fan of Ibinabo..not because of her past indiscretions but because Nollywood sucks and she's not trying to address why the industry/ movies suck so bad. But I'll give her props for this interview.

correction she killed a man while driving drunk and spent about 6 months in prison,she also paid a fine because the deceased's family sued her she was convicted in a court of law now unless she was pardoned she is and always will be an ex convict!

Life can sometimes seem unforgiving. This is the very reason we are advised to be careful of the choices/actions we make/take. The choice/action is ours to make/take but we CANNOT chose the consequences. Sometimes these consequences haunt us for the rest of our lives. Driving while being drunk is one of the worst actions anyone can take. Sorry to put it like this but in any civilized society, having been convicted of drunk-driving and causing the death of a person, she will definitely not hold ANY elective position in ANY association.

The issue still remains that she killed someone "Unintentionally" and it's a case of Man Slaughter. The Law stipulates Jail sentence for such offence without an option of Fine. Yes it can happen to anyone but Ib coming out to say she has settled with the family sounds ridiculous and appealing.

Truth was that Ibinabo was drunk & drugged up driving so it's her fault she killed someone, maybe if was a family member of all you supporters club she killed you will understand how irresponsible it is to put someone else's life at risk drinking & driving. Furthermore she was charged for manslaughter by d family members of the murder doctor becos she was un remorseful even after d accident, the court found her guilty & she was sentenced, she served few years in kirikiri maximum prison before she brided her way out therefore she is an ex-convict even though it's hard for her to accept....period! Driving while being drunk is one of the worst actions anyone can take. Sorry to put it like this but in any civilized society, having been convicted of drunk-driving and causing the death of a person, she will definitely not hold ANY elective position in ANY association.

I don't understand why people don't get the term "accident". I don't know IB personally, but i know she didn't wake up that fateful day and decide in her heart that she would run over and kill a human being. Its a difficult issue for her and d family of the deceased. Both parties will be haunted by this incident forever. They don't need the media rubbing it in their faces.

I was so angry when she told me and developed hatred for him.sooo until I started talking to him 3yrz lata.and found out that he was actually a nice person.and noticed that she talks to him even after everytn like nothing happened. The issue still remains that she killed someone "Unintentionally" and it's a case of Man Slaughter. The Law stipulates Jail sentence for such offence without an option of Fine. Yes it can happen to anyone but Ib coming out to say she has settled with the family sounds ridiculous and appealing.

This is Nigeria where a muderer will come out and tell you it can happen to anybody. Was she insane when she was drinking knowing fully well she will drive?
