Amaka?! What kind of bush name is that?

Anonymous said...

Seriously, no single black model was used. I was scrolling down hoping to see just one. Stupid black people and deir self-hating lives. Amaka Global indeed! U would have made it 'Amaka Global Industries and Sons Limited' ------ Good business idea, Bad Marketing Strategy. I'm so vexed! Abuja Babe.

How is amaka a bush name , na wa for Nigerians . So anything that is indeginous and not western is raz now abi ? Confused set of people , amaka is a wonderful name and actually has meaning .

Anonymous said...

because you have the backing of arab money does not mean you will rule the world....

zara is not all all about deep pockets, but about business know how...years and years of trial and error till it got to this stage...do you know how many stores they have....

and the founder of zara is not just the richest man in europe, he is simple, and on top of his game.

Are there plans to bring any of the production to Nigeria? otherwise, this is just a waste of time and I will not patronise them.

Why? you may ask.Because they would not be creating any jobs for Nigerians. The would only be taking money from Nigerian customers. Plus we would not see any of their profits on Nigerian shores because they are based in Paris and would probably spend their money outside of Nigeria.

Until these people commit to manufacture in Nigeria, there is nothing to celebrate

Yes Amaka Global it is! Goan mud haters, tribalistic fools!

I tire o!
Ehe, no black models.
Ok na.

JustPorsh said...

No need to cuss!
For u to make a brand name, it has to be relateable. HnM, Zara, Asos, big brands with easy to pronounce, strait to d point names. You need to liberate your mind from your own misplaced way of thinkin.

JustPorsh said...

Lmao!
She for kuku stop for 'AmAkA'

Unknown said...

Good business plan but why dint you do market research about brand... In our society today,People love to wear names than clothes, you should have come out with a better brand name..... #my opinion

Anonymous said...

Thank you jare. Don't mind the mumu with real slave mentality. The name Amaka will become known globally and instead of commending the company for sticking to their roots you are caastigating them. Branding is impt but I am yet to see a name that doesn't succeed with the right strategy and lots of adverts.
Names may sound strange initially but by the time you hear it over and over in ads, the name becomes cool.

If na oyibo type this comment, na racist una go brand am.
Please go and start yours and make sure ALL the models are BLACK or PINK. Whatever you want na ur biz.

lol. my thoughts exactly. clothes look good but I'm not going to wear "amaka global"

Anonymous said...

That's because those clothes are not from the stable of the so called amaka global. They just used the pics of models modeling other designers clothes as theirs. Nigerians are so fond of puffing up and creating a fake facade. I but you that the so called amaka global does not even have an outlet yet, but they here sounding so grandiose and successful. How could 5000 fashion franchises all over the world be interested in you already without people ever hearing of you until today? In their bid to exaggerate things, they unwittingly, made very untenable claims. Anyway, it may work as so many people are too darn gullible.

Amaka is not a bush name but you are! Since you are from bush, let me explain to you a bit- Amaka is a wonderful name from Igbo-Nigeria origin; a suffix which denotes how beautiful a thing is e.g Nwamaka-Beautiful child, Chiamaka-Beautiful God, Nkemamaka- Mine is Beautiful, etc. I like the gots and confidence of the brand owner as i pray that God will beautify the brand as the name implies- "Amaka Global".

Anonymous said...

Pls promote indigenous named goods and services. Dangote is.blazing the trail. Mitsubishi, Toyota, Hyundai, Fujitsu, Ralph Lauren, Yohji Yamamoto, Ekenedilichukwu, etc are doing very well. The Global in ' Amaka Global ' signifies an.internafional outlook, so the HQ doesn't have to be in Nigeria, especially if their core market and financiers aren't in Africa. Stop embracing slave mentality
If your product is good, people will buy it.

Anonymous said...

Just porsh and feyisola your oponions don't count, she sat down n thought of what is best 4 her, n u both are sitting down here thinking of some one else's hustle........Salvatorre ferragamo, guise ppl Zanootti are making us cram pronounce n spell deir native names and Amaka ordinary Amaka is not sweet......u ppl r high on pure water.

Anonymous said...

Amaka sweetie dearie......if u like change d name to Amaka Global worldwide outreach all I can say is thank you 4 putting nigeria on the map 4 good thing.......

Anonymous said...

But all I see on the ladies are rags na, make it classy and stylish and you will go places, hopefully there is much more to showcase than what I can see here

Anonymous said...

U may say whatever u like, anonym at 7:17pm. By people, I meant people like you who are so gullible to believe whatever bullcrap that is thrown at them. And if you happen to be amaka global, please use another ploy because this is not working out. A discerning mind could easily see through this bogus write up. And trust me, you have no freaking outlet yet. What you just did was to trot out on the pages of Linda ikeji, your make believe world, it ain't happening yet, if it ever would. I am aghast at your effrontery in using someone elses's work and passing them of as yours. U better acknowledge your source before nemesis catches up with you. And by the way, the name is so freaking local. Are u freaking kidding me? Amaka Global, indeed!

AMAKA is a good name for a brand...but why add the Global??? for heaven's sake this is fashion!

Unknown said...

Adverts should be loud enough for conviction sake. There are lots of brands now, so convincing people of your brand should consist of stunning cuts which am not seeing, expect for one pieces and the childrens collections. Then again, no black model? Smh! For now, am not yet convince about this brands cuts.
