I just had to post a comment. I felt so touched. If truly it wasn't intentional he will be consumed with guilt forever. I'm truly sorry for him. I can imagine if it were my brother or a friend. I feel more sorry for the girl's family. To lose a daughter to the person you thought should protect her but killing her instead. Only God and love can console them.

There is no winner in this case...it is sad ...I do believe Oscar...sometimes one behaves so erratically and I believe him...I pray God helps him and intervene on his behalf if he is not guilty..

Here's the thing; in my own opinion, he's both innocent and guilty. He killed her, no doubt about it, he's claiming it was an accident... thing is, I've followed this case a little too closely and I believe in putting facts together in a logical manner, and from what I've heard, seen, read so far; his story has a LOT of gaps in it. Revised edition 'they both went to bed, the alarm was set, she got up in the middle of the night to pee, he thought he heard an intruder, he grabbed his gun 'which was by his headboard' and shot blindly through the bathroom door FOUR TIMES' cos he was terrified - his version. I have a problem with this story, why? The house on their left was apparently empty or something, but his neighbor across the way heard faint screaming, later on we are told it wasn't just one person who heard a high pitched female voice yelling. Second, someone can't break into your house and your alarm won't go off, and if ur alarm goes off, won't you be very certain that there is an intruder? As opposed to shooting at your bathroom door, you will get up and prepare yourself, maybe creep around first to locate where the entry point is, maybe place a hurried whispered call to the police that's if the alarm company won't even send them out to your house becos of the breech. My theory is this- first of all al lot of people have confirmed that Oscar loves guns, probably has a fetish for 'em who knows? And he also has a hair trigger temper (pun intended) so here's my version. They locked up for the night, then got in a fight... that fight became heated and she got scared for her life and ran screaming to lock herself in the bathroom, of course to someone like Oscar that's defiance! he must have been seeing red, literally, probably yelling 'open this door!' and when she didn't he fired at the door in rage. Of course he was most likely horrified when the anger cleared and so he came up with this intruder story. Bottom line, I just hope they get to the truth.
