If I pick you, someone will call you and you will meet me for lunch this weekend where I will hand over the cheques. If you don't live in Lagos, the money will be sent to your account.

I just gained my admission into the university of ekiti(Eksu) and registration started on Monday but we are told to pay the acceptance fee and the school fees before we can start any registration. My dad is a pastor of a local church and he does not earn much.the tution fee is 100,000naira while the acceptance fee is 32,000 naria.so am expected to pay 132,000 naira before registration and from the little work I ave been doin as a teacher I saved up 55,000 and my dad is really trying to raise the rest.

I also mailed you some time back about putting my story up, hoping I'd get help from readers, you never did. In the mail, I told you my struggle with a third class degree. A secret I've had to keep and its eating me deep each day.
How I get scared when fellow corpers talk about applying for jobs and all that. I can't possibly apply for the kind of jobs they can apply for and I have thought seriously about doing a pgd, but how do I fund it. I'm from that typical home that reads out the riot act immediately after your first degree. You are even automatically bestowed with responsibilities.
I know I'm way more wittier than a first class, poverty tied me up with a third.
In-between nysc, I have been doing a part time menial job, and for the second month we haven't been paid salaries. As my service year draws towards an end, my fears deepen, my heart writhles in pain. Trust me I have contemplated suicide quite a few times.

I have been a web surfer from childbirth, something inside constantly pricks me to checkup happenings around. That's how I was introduced to your blog by a friend in 2008. Your comments from way back were within the corners of 50-70 max on juicy gists and lower than 5-15 on your "no gist days" with you commenting also to thank readers.
I remember quite a few regular commentators, Chidi Ahanotu, Mrs Somebody, Delabique, one guy that always puts from Milan, later on, Dr Chinedu, Dith, Becky, Naijagirl, Doll, Tokunbo etc.
I also mailed you some time back about putting my story up, hoping I'd get help from readers, you never did. In the mail, I told you my struggle with a third class degree. A secret I've had to keep and its eating me deep each day.
How I get scared when fellow corpers talk about applying for jobs and all that. I can't possibly apply for the kind of jobs they can apply for and I have thought seriously about doing a pgd, but how do I fund it. I'm from that typical home that reads out the riot act immediately after your first degree. You are even automatically bestowed with responsibilities.
I know I'm way more wittier than a first class, poverty tied me up with a third.
In-between nysc, I have been doing a part time menial job, and for the second month we haven't been paid salaries. As my service year draws towards an end, my fears deepen, my heart writhles in pain. Trust me I have contemplated suicide quite a few times.
I have ideas of setting up small business atleast for the future.
Miss Linda, even if I don't win out of your millions of competitors, please remember me in your prayers and thoughts, and even in any oppurtunities you may deem me worthy of.
I sing a lot, its one dream I wish I could make real. To wow the world with good music. Waje is my number one, wish I could get a connect to her.

Hi Linda, I'm so grateful for this, God knows this is the best news I've heard all year. my name is kelechi and When I was younger my father walked out on my mum and since then things have been very difficult. This year my sister couldn't go to school because we couldn't afford it. Now I just got admission into Unilag and I've been able to get 50k now all I need is 25k if not I'll lose my admission. "Do unto others as you would like it been done to you" as a kid my greatest wish for Christmas was to see some uncle, friends parent or neighbour( cos I grew up in a face me I face you house) take me to any Christmas fun fair party where I can make a shout out on tv though it never happened until I was able to take myself as an adult. 20k from you Linda would enable me take 10kids conveniently for a fun fair party where they can do same and put a smile on their faces.
