this is a good idea but honestly, I don't foresee a good end to this why? we already have refineries in Nigeria that are not working. Why not refurbish, renovate and maintain it than building a new one entirely. Refineries are damn expensive and requires so much to maintain! Banks and whoever maybe involved, yes but did really do the feasibility studies very to figure out if this project should proceed or not? who are the stakeholders involved and where is this refinery going to be situated going by the strong Nigeria ethical base. Building a new refinery in my opinion doesn't cut it! #myfiftycents#

NIGERIA IS JUST A FAILED SYSTEM...SO THE GOVT WITH ALL ITS RESOURCES CANNOT REFURBISH THE ALREADY EXISTING REFINERIES??? AND PUT PPL TO WORK???

Its no more news that Dangote( with al due respect) has contributed( and still contributing) to the growing economy of nigeria.. But its inferiority complex, improprietary and uncalled for when u mention DAVIDO's father's name.. For GOD's sake that info is STALE with dat name and the name is becoming overflogged and constantly rings a bell of nuisance to the users/readers of ur blog... Pls feed us with current news and not STALE( Davido and family) News.

Well one doesn't have to work too hard when he/she is given a monopoly in the import of most essential commodities of a country....only in a backwards country like Nigeria will that be allowed.

Anonymous said...

Retarded fool

Anonymous said...

Omo,this guy is totally cleaned out.
Can u imagine how much he'll be making when this kicks off.
Refining all the oil in Nigeria?
Even our wealthy thief thief politicians don't have the sense to do that

Anonymous said...

Why would he do that?...he's just waiting to employ the half baked graduates as drivers in his company

Anonymous said...

Is that his job? Where are the politicians and people in charge of education?...I guess he should go ahead and become a one-man benefactor/police..arresting all our corrupt politicians, kidnappers, child molesters, Yahoo boys, etc...

Anonymous said...

He wnts to solely control naija economy

Yeah the Adelekes are involved, deal with it haters. FYI the refinaries are going to be Ogun and Ondo states south west Nigeria. the only Investment friendly region in the country. Real business talking creation of real Jobs. this are the people who OWN Nigeria deal with it.

1 Dangote recognises his money is safe in the west.
2 He knows Yoruba are seasoned enought to provide the condusive environment for other nationals to work freely without initimadation.
3 Yorubas dont cliam what its not theirs. FYI his major partners are Yorubas.
4 The Adelekes are involved, if you dont like the fact, kindly kill yourself.

iamseun said...

Least i forget, Ogun state is the Industrial Capital of Nigeria. Thats how far the south west has been recognised for investment security and the accommodating nature of Yoruba people will go a long way in guaranting the success.
no kidnapping, no militants, no chest beaters and loud mouths. just real entreprenuers that create jobs, not traders that go to the village to bring 10 boys to sleep in a job in the name of trading. bunch of parasites.

if you feel offended by what i said, maybe you should ask yourself if i am wrong or lied against you. in fact, if you feel offended, you are as guilty as charged.

God bless all real job providers in Nigeria from the north to the west to the east to the south south.

Where in Nigeria is the plant going to be built????

Anonymous said...

Almost every government owned establishment is goin into extinction. Now they furnished it into privatization, same thief pple buying up nigeria wit private names. The dorminant few now run d economy, with its vry infinitessimal effect on d life of d average man on d street. They store up d wealth for their future generations.
Almost all of government's infrastructures are on the verge of collapse; are we sayin d govt is now so broke? Where's all our money?

Anonymous said...

So Many Folks Here 're So Myopic Cuz Dis's One Gud Example Of Monopoly. Everything Dat Has 2 Do Wit Nigerians Economy Has Got Dangote's Name On It One
Way Or Da Oda. Dia's No Level Playin' Ground 4 Oda
Players 2 Cme In & Make A Play. I Believe So Much In Havin' A Competitive Market Wit A Lot Of Varieties Cuz It Brings Abt A Stronger Economy & Proper Service Delivery. If We Continue Wit Dis Trend Of Havin' Da Face Of Dangote On Everything Dat Has 2 Do Our Economy We'll End Up Havin' Monopolised Economy If We Havn't Already & We All Knw Wat Dat Means 4 Our Economy & We Da Citizens....

Anonymous said...

Abeg o he should control every single thing as long as Nigeria gets the much needed development, abeg let him control, abi you like the way Nigeria is?

This is a welcome development. I can't wait for 2016 for the refineries to be fully operational. The investment initiative is in form of a loan agreement for the
construction of a petrochemical plant to be located at the
Olokola Free Trade Zone in Ondo and Ogun states. Thank you Aliko Dangote

Anonymous said...

Y do I get the feeling that this aliko belongs to them collaborators in this country who thwart everything just 4 their own glory. We should pretty give him all of the country.BLOODY MONOPOLY

Anonymous said...

Hanny you think Dangotw is a crackhead like you who would not do feasibility before venturing into a biz and you think banks just drop money without weighing the pros and cons? Please come off it, this is a sound investment. Also uou may need to check his track record, he doesn't make foolish investment decisions like y'all

Anonymous said...

If dangote become president he will not allow anyone to compete with his companies.see what he did to otedola AP oil na?he is the reason why builders cannot afford his high-priced cement na.the guy commodities cost abegi
