It was a gathering of the who is who in Delta state as family, friends, political associates, traditional rulers and captains of industries gathered to celebrate the 55th birthday ceremony of the former Delta State governor in his country home Oghara. Ibori is a very good man. His family and friends would not want him to feel abandoned in his present predicament. Celebrating his birthday in such a big way, will surely help his mental state. Many people will not be celebrated this way, when they are not in power, talkless being in prison. Happy Birthday to Chief James Ibori. I guess the celebration put some happiness in his life.

Honestly, pple don't have shame in this country!!!!! The family members that are suppose to hide themselves somewhere and be asking for God's mercy are busy celebrating their foolishness, what a pathetic situation.

Oh God, save our dear country from this madness. Even if he was a good governor and not guilty (which i doubt), why bother with this show of shame! They should be praying for him and not throwing parties. NIGERIA IS A JOKE!!!

All of you shouting wow this is Insane are fools .. This man has paid his price and as a Deltan i celebrated with him @ my home because if you visit Delta you would know that Chief .James Ibori regime is the best and still the best in terms of the provision of basic amenities.... Though he stole from us just like every other bloody politician but he fulfil his promise and we saw the dividend of democracy under him...

We just av no shame in this country it goes to show our lack of discipline. How dare they celebrate the birthday of a man that is imprisoned. Hence celebrate unlawful n illegal things

I am sorry, but our brothers from the South South have shown that they are not bothered about the level of corruption in the country, as long as the thief is one of them. Bad people elect bad leaders. May God save us from this hopeless nation called Nigeria.

ONLY IN NIGERIA

Obviously, all of these shameless people in these pictures benefited from that common thief's loot. Ibori, you are nothing but a worthless criminal and no amount of celebration will ever change that!!

This is exactly what Lagbaja and Okey Ndibe refer to as mumurity. It can only happen in mumdom where a thief who is in prison is celebrated as a hero. Shame.

I'm totally shocked and appalled by this celebration. A man that stole govt funds of more than 500 million pounds!!! The preacher says Nigerians should emulate a thief, a convicted criminal. It's so sad. What a country we live in.
To top it off, some foolish Nigerians on this blog are saying he was the best governor. What a show of shame.
