He selects every single winner himself, and makes her his mistress for as along as he wants. He spoils them silly, flies them on first class to any of his business interests, and creates an illusion that will make such a lady never ever want to leave him. To such lady, this is welcome to 'Good life'.
That guy knows how to spoil his beauty queens with money. And the girls get carried away.
At the end of day, by the time the girl realizes that time is not on her side, and that she can't be a second or third wife, she starts looking for dudes who can give her the same highest standard of lifestyle, hence, the reason you see them dating footballers/drug dealers/and fraudsters.
