Nike Oshinowo out with first fragrance - Asabi

Asabi, which means of a special birth in Yoruba, Nike's native language, is the first signature fragrance by the ex-beauty queen. Heard you will soon be able to buy it at selected stores across Nigeria for N5, 000.

Since I'm promoting this for free on my blog, hope I will get a free sample...*wink* *wink*

Asabi; of a special birth? Interesting! I wonder if she's of a special birth!! There's something spiritual about that name. I also wonder if this will end her involvement with the other perfumes she uses (Gucci, YSL and who knows what) and if she'll just stick to hers.

Good luck to her.

Linda let me know how it smells. I won't buy because i'm not a perfume freak.

But why can't we learn to celebrate one another na she tok say make you no get initiative to make urs. If you have nothing positive to say why not just read the piece n keep it moving. Must you insult her?

This is just going to cause wahala
Because before you know it ini edo, omtola and cohorts will start making perfume.
Naija will now be like jand where every A and D list celeberities all have their own perfume brands..
Why must naija follow follow too much

Nonsense

she should have done a skin care line instead, that will be more palatable. As nija ppl we love our designer names and all that, so this may be forgotten very quickly.

can naija get to where 40% of its citzens are at least middle class before people keep doing all these fashion lines, clothing lines, perfumes. im not saying they shouldn't be it seems the whole fashion industry in naija is being saturated. where is the market for all these products? the market in naija is very small, as there are very few people that can afford these types of things. i hope its not overpriced sha.

never mind, it says 5,000 naira, but still, seems unreasonable.

This post just sums it all:

"This woman is damn too fake, the way she laffs, talks u will know shes not just REAL.And as for moments with mo,whenever she sees her fellow LONDON recycled returnees,u will see all the fakenessness coming out in quantums.
Why cant we as africans,be real?Regardless of our exposure.Na wa o.Her fellow init friends will buy her perfum

What we are talking about is people been real, been able to relate with yr fellow nigerians, and not talking through yr nose, been able to relate with common pple on the street,I personally dont see her as such person who is down to earth[Though i may be wrong sha].We sholud learn to appreciate our MOTHERs tongue and not twisting our tongue to sound like an AMERICANA or LONDONER.BE YR SELF"
