Well, that's according to what a resident of Micheal Ogun street where a family of 7 including a 3-week old baby were killed by fire yesterday. According to Punch, Ejike Okpara, who resides in the area said that the neighbours did not help because there was animosity among the five tenants in the house. He said Nkiru who is the mother of the three weeks old baby had been accused of not greeting the other tenants, among other issues, which had caused series of fight in the neighbourhood.
“So, when the fire began, the neighbours from both sides did not come out. When they finally came out, it was to rescue their families.” he said

Honestly those neighbours are very wicked and heartless people if it is true they have power to rescue those victims before it got worse, whatever these people might do for them they don't need to judge by themselves God is the Judge master. what would have been their reward now? hssss! may their souls rest in perfect peace.

Let me start by saying this, it doesnt matter if they fought flesh to flesh or bone to bone. This is a matter of Life and Death! For the fact their awareness did not make them assuage the situation if they could makes them a PRIME SUSPECT! Spiritually they are in trouble, for the innocent bodies are dead but their Souls are Alive. Physically,the government should investigate the matter by bringing the neighbours into intense questioning and investigation as they are the major PRIME SUSPECT,the Prosecutor has a Case Already all they have to do is to find the CULPRIT that lit the FUEL at that time of the NIGHT and see to the justice of these families. May Their Gentle Souls Rest in Peace.

Linda, the death of these people is unfortunate and painful. However, I think you need to help fellow LIB readers think straight. The guy said when they came out they had to help their families first. What do we expect them to do? Leave their own family members inside and go save neighbors first? We do not have all the facts, so don't let us be quick to judge.I once had these neighbors who were always fighting. Today it can be husband vs wife, tomorrow it will be Father/Mother beating up the children. Noise everyday! God forbid, if such a family needs help, how would one know? honestly when i heard the interview with the Old Landlord yesterday night i knew something was just not adding up. The Man said " They thought the family had traveled hence why they did not go to their apartment to make rescue and by the time they did, the whole burglary proof was too hot to rescue them.
Whatever is hidden with man is sooo open with God.

This man Ejike Opkpara is a cousin of the deceased who does not evn reside in d area and only spoke out of anger n grieve. He wasn't even there... I live on Michael Ogun Road and I witnessed d incident life. I'm shocked howevr dat no where was it mentioned that the residents of Michael Ogun made frantic efforts to put out d fire to d extent that someone almost got electrocuted which made them turn off power. Infact d fire was put out by d residents as the firefighters got der a bit late after several calls and some of the men drove to their office in Ojuelegba for them to know how serious the situation was. They however, were the ones who discovered d charred remains of the family members. The truth is that nobody knew the family was trapped in the house. Their Co tenants wer all concerned abt their family's safety first n unfortunately by d time they realized the Onoja's were still trapped in d fire, it was too late. D lady n husband were easy goin pple n minded their business and I honestly don't think any beef their neighbors had wit them wld've made them turn their backs on them.. a 3wks old baby was also in the house.. Come on!!! It was a black day for us all and sadly too, the little girl the pple tried to save by rushing to the hospital and contributing money house by house for immediate treatment and also prayed for fervently later died. It's a very sad n yes mysterious story.. Almighty God who sees and knows all will reveal the whole truth.

Big lie! The neighbours did not come out? Why? Because their lives were not also at risk and they didn't mind getting roasted in their houses? When they finally came out it was to rescue their families? Why? Because it was then and only then they realized the lives of their family members were at risk. Foolish talk. Present the case better.
