The actor and model wrote a beautiful, touching letter to his daughter, Sophie Tei-Naaki Lee Kodjoe on her 10th birthday which is today March 5. Sophie was diagnosed with
spina bifida (split spine -
a birth defect that involves the incomplete development of the spinal cord or its covering) at birth. Read the letter below..
To My Little Heart.
The day I met your mother I knew I was ready to be a man. The day I met
you I became one. You've shown me what true strength and courage is and
you taught me that the love of faith and the faith in love is one and
the same.
I'm in awe of your ability to defy the odds and I marvel at the
confidence with which you produce miracle after miracle. You smile your
way through life and your light touches everyone around you.

I have Spina Bifida too! It's not easy oooo. Especially in this our Nigeria where life isn't easy on normal people not to talk of those with birth defects and other disabilities. That's why I encourage ladies who are of child bearing age to stock up on their folic acid as it reduces the risk by a great percentage! N200 for about 150 tablets or so. Very cheap price to pay for the well-being of our unborn(s). And as you all can see, it's incurable so no be money matter or Boris would have sold all his organs to save her from the pain and depression she's going through as my family would have. It is not just an oyibo sickness. I am Nigerian. An adult! 29 years old and been going through it all my life! If more people know what it is and open up, ya'll will be amazed. Some people say it's an attack from the village, just like my parents thought and made me believe until I knew better. Lol. Prevent Spina Bifida today.
