Thank you General, This is the height of patriotism. I may (and will not) insult my country but never will I allow or permit anyone outsider or even a poor, ordinary country like Niger to work with APC and undermine my troops or me and my country!

No matter what this is pettiness, the tweets are so undignified.
This is a serious issue,no matter what twitter isn't the platform to address this.
And to think we're still in partnership with Niger as it pertained fighting insurgency.
He could have done better.

The Niger Minister is irresponsible. The fact that we run away from terrorists should not be misinterpreted. It is called tactical withdrawal.

I have never liked the idea of Niger or Chad exercising their power in capturing territories from BH.This administration is heaping mountain of problems for the incoming govt because with every capture by our neighbouring countries,in a way that gives them power over such towns.A time will come when they'll begin to claim ownership of such towns. We cant afford to add more enemies to the existing one o.

There can be a more diplomatic, ADULT language to tell them off and still hold up the morale of the Nigerian soldiers; before we have another dimension of this war on our hands.

Unknown said...

Why won't Nigeriens have the effrontery when GEJ's govt made our military look so timid and stupid, the same soldiers who win wars for other African countries for years.

This is what happens when some elements with inferiority complex, who call themselves Nigerians, insult, their God, their country, their presidents, governors, senators, public officers, their father, their mother, their brothers, sisters and children. The Nigerien Defence Ministry merely repeated what some unpatriotic Nigerians say.

Unknown said...

Gen. Olukolade, no matter what you do people must talk. Is only God that will reward you all for what you are doing for this country and humanity.

Unknown said...

These days, insult is like sports. If someone is in d habit of cursing his parents, whom do we blame if others join him to curse his parents.

The man probably commented on what he saw, so why is Olukolade angry.

Unknown said...

The truth is bitter my oga. So quit lamenting, tame your pride and swallow it. Our troops run away from fierce battle with BH SHIKENA!

Unknown said...

This is most unfortunate and unprofessional on the part of Niger. This insult can open hostility between Nigeria and Niger. Text Fortune to 33020.

Our soldiers need all the encouragement they can get, all this distraction will not help their morale. Even if they run, they humans!

I am so angry with the Federal Government for creating this room for weaker nations to insult Nigeria. Very soon Chadien Military will start insulting us too. Jonathan is really clueless that explains while he allowed countries whose nationals have been fingered as Boko Haram fighters to patrol our borders in the name of fighting insurgency. I weep for Nigeria cos Idris of Chad is not to be trusted.

Antman said...

Plenty unwarranted talk by Gen. Olukolade.
If our military were sincere and serious to tackle BH, all these english won't be necessary.
In my own opinion, calling a neighbouring nation poor sounds stupid and childish and bragging how good Nigerian soldiers are does not reflect on
Nigerian citizens turning refugees in other Countries. The truth shall set us free - our military are compromised.

I dont know about other nations envying our military but I believe they are doing a good job with less than enough armo especially when the enemy is a ruthless one like BH

Today is Friday February 13, the exact day and date Gen Ramat Muritala Mohammed was assasinated in 1976. I remember it because I was in Form 5 then and in a school not too far away from the site where the incident took place. It was a weekend of gloom for the nation. Let us remember this fallen hero whose administration was short but focused.

You can see what Jonathan government has turned The giant of Africa to
Why will they not mock our country and our army .it is not their fault
God Almighty will restored the glory of Nigeria that Jonathan has turned to raggs
Niger now call Nigeria soilder run away from battle. Kai .we will re trained and re structure our army
Make them busy training and retraining them .stop using them for election
They must not be seen outside with uniform
Take them out of the city
Any solder that fight with civilian must be sentence to death
Any solder that fight with police on uniform fight with the president of the country such soildier mustvbe arrested and tried for mutiny.
Arise restored the glory of Nigeria Army ordinary tweeting will not do anything
Let all these our ex General s meet with the Army leaders and re structure Nigeria army
When army is down the whole country is down .this is serious .
Before you know it neighboring small small country will begin to challenge us to battle because now they know that we have no competent army but civilian army
That fight up and down in land dispute
Marital issue
Army that are watching over ballot boxes imaging
That carry OGA madam bags
Thatvare beating civilian that are not armed but run away from them when they carry arms.army that are fighting with police of the same government .I have never seen that in any country under heaven except Nigeria

Is OLUKOLADE really a general? From his statements, he comes to me as someone unworthy of that rank. With generals like him, the only war we can win is one against trolls like him.

Anonymous said...

Pls ask him if Buhari even knows who he is?

This man has just accused Niger of collaborating with Boko Haram to destabilise Nigeria. I think that is the most serious allegation he made in all those tweets.

Anonymous said...

U r an idiot! Except u ain't a Nigerian, what has he said wrong, sso it's ok for Niger, whose population flood Nigeria as gatemen n cobblers, to go on social media n insult us abi? Ode!

Really Gen. Olukolade should be mad at Niger troop. The Nigerian army is the best you can mention around the world. But where i felt the Military should work more is on the Soldiers been posted to this volatile area.i observed that DSS & EDUCATION calls military guys are been posted more to this area, where as we have military men in attilery ,armory that are full combatants soldiers to fight the war against terror. Please if this may get to General ,let all the DSS AND THE EDUCATION CALLS military men be returned to their bases and use more of the Artillery soldiers to fight this war.The expereience is more or the side of this guys ,not the DSS guys .Please consider my observation.

Anonymous said...

If you guys and the so called GCFR have risen up to the occasion how on earth will Nigerien soldiers insult us. what ever pride you think you have now it doesn't matter, what matters is the restoration of peace and security to my dearest country.

Anonymous said...

Gen,info could be better managed, our concern is how this war could be better won, what are the constraints?talk of our constraints to overcome.Leave petty talks based on so called assisting forces including Civilian JTF.UR a great army....Shugaba

Anonymous said...

Useless Dr Igo,you refer the General as this man,you dont know what war, hunger, refugee or displacement is that is why ur foolishly calling for crises, violence if a particular person fails to win election. If only you experience the era of essential commodities,it was self imposed hunger in the 80s.Nigerians are in heaven today but if you vote foolishly, you may only be expecting hardship, poverty, unemployment, job cuts etc,etc...
