T.B. Joshua yesterday asked the Lagos state High Court in Ikeja to stop proceedings of the coroner inquest set up by the
Lagos state govt to look into the circumstances that led to his
church's building collapse on Sept. 12th which killed 116.
T.B Joshua, who filed the appeal through his counsel, Olalekan, Ojo, also asked the court to
declare that his invitation to
appear as a witness before the coroner was a breach of his right to fair
hearing, as no case had been established against him before the
coroner.
T.B Joshua
who was supposed to appear before the coroner yesterday, through his
counsel, asked the coroner to suspend proceedings pending the outcome of
the case he just filed against it which is to be called up for hearing
on December 3rd.
The coroner, Magistrate O.A. Komolafe however declined his request
saying no one had served him court document to that effect.

Why would he want to stop the Coroner from investigating the building collapse.

Shouldn't he be eager to clear his name seeing as he claims a bomb or a "spiritual something" was the cause of the collapse? Why then are they stalling? Doesn't he want the evil ppl who tampered with the building killing almost 200ppl brought to book? This action alone says a whole lot. I know his fellow men of God and children of God will have plenty to say in his defence but if he his innocent and has nothing to hide, his actions say otherwise.

For justice to be properly served without bias... all sides must be heard.
I do not know why T.B. Joshua is refusing to appear before the court, thereby delaying court proceedings...He should lead by example by doing what is right, except if his hands are not clean.

Dude, you are a compellable witness regardless of who you are!!! I don't see how been called as a witness having anything to do with fair hearing. You are not even accused or anything like that!!

The way TB Joshua is going about the whole thing day by day is beginning to look as if he has a hand in all these.If it were to be in a civilised society everything will be properly investigated.He should leave them alone and appear before the panel and go and clear his name.
