...and Nigeria fails to qualify for the 2015 African Nations Cup
Sad day for Nigerian football. We drew with South Africa this evening 2-2 but it wasn't enough to get us to Equatorial Guinea 2015. And we are supposed to be the defending champion. So sad! *crying*
Linda, it's so sad that Nigeria will not be defending her trophy in Equatorial Guinea come 2015. Well, this could be a blessing in disguise, because the likes of Chris Ali and Co., NFF and the minister, all stupidly sacrificed our national pride at the alter of selfishness and self aggrandisement. The players, agreed, may not have given their all but we could have avoided all the drama, if the authorities had recognised that Nigeria is bigger than their individual ambition. Sincerely, I wish the government could ban all of them ever seeking or holding public office in Nigeria for the next 10yrs. God bless Nigeria as we learn the hard way.
