According to the artist, “These are images that explore the dark and unprogressive romance between political power and electrical power distribution in Nigeria. By far the most populous nation in the continent with vast human and material resources and enormous potential, electricity is still a big issue. Marred by erratic power supply, the nation is caught in the web of deceit where political office seekers clearly use the promise of ‘light ‘as the most effective bait.
It is interesting to know that tons of white elephant projects which include a cashless economic system and automated rail transport, are in the works gulping mammoth budgets and will all depend on an efficient electrical supply system.”
The exhibition will be held from 8th to 22nd of November, 2014.

Uche James‐Iroha

Good for them.
I love the arts and appreciate various forms of expressing it but this is not a responsible way to depict the "epileptic power supply" in Nigeria. It is rather insensitive and has no correlation to the issue at hand. Are you kidding me? Men in KKK suits say what about Nigeria's failing power supply? Rather immature of the artist. Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!

It is so easy to judge when your self worth is limited by default. That is not a 'KKK' suit,a closer and humbled assessment will reveal newspaper clipping which (in my view) a representation of the press/media. The only cover for our shame/nakedness and style of our truthful expression. as you can see the holes of the hood is where their eyes are but their mouth is muffled. Any way smart Alec, be calm in your critical assessment and don't rush to judge an artist of reputation. Not everyone is as stupid as you.
