GEJ commiserates with Alamieyeseigha on the death of his son

Former Bayelsa state governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha's second son Oyamuyefa was killed in Dubai over the weekend. Some reports claim he committed suicide but it's been confirmed that he was actually murdered. Hopefully, we will get the full story in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Pres. Jonathan and his wife have released a statement commiserating with the former governor. President Jonathan promised the former governor support from the federal government in assisting to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of his son. Find the press statement after the cut

President Goodluck Jonathan has received with shock and immense sadness news of the death of Mr. Oyamuyefa Alamieyeseigha in Dubai at the weekend. On behalf of his family and the Federal Government, President Jonathan extends heartfelt condolences to Oyamuyefa’s father, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha and his entire family on the untimely loss of a very dear son in the prime of his life.
The President and the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan share their pain and grief over the death of Oyamuyefa in circumstances that are still unclear. President Jonathan assures Chief Alamieyeseigha and his family of the full support of the Federal Government as they strive to unravel the true circumstances of the young man’s death.
He prays that God Almighty will receive Oyamuyefa’s soul and comfort his grieving parents and siblings.

Sometimes you don't want to wish these politicians well...so nig Govt is planning to follow up the case, and we left aisha falode alobe during same incidence in same country. These politicians know what to do, they just don't want to feel concerned when they are no personal political gains in the games they play. May his soul rest in peace, no one prays for such, but i'll urge whoever is taking that matter up to please co-opt Aisha falode's case too. My regards.

This our country is really a useless 'enclave'. How about the hundreds killed by policemen and robbers on the highway everyday? Nobody cares to commiserate with those families because they r non-entities.... If u no get money or power for this country ur own don finish para patapata

Well I feel bad for the family but is it not the same dubai that Aisha Folade 's son was killed too and she cried out to Nigerian Government to help her pursue the case cos her son was murdered and I can't remember if there was a press statement or response saying it will assist! GEJ,dear president this is want to see change in your Government, favouritism, her son and his son are both citizens of this country. The law of karma, knows no high or low! God bless Nigeria.

the manner in which Nigerians are killed in dubai now is alarming and not in any way encouraging its time our gov, start getting involved in this issues, mean while my heart goes out to alameighsia family.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan!!!!!!!! i have never really said anything ill about you. but if i as much as smell the government getting involved in this case you will see another side of Nigerians. Because i remember a case of a popular broadcaster or so who lost an only son and if i am not mistaken an only child and wrote to the government to intervene and yet nothing was done. i commiserate with Alamesiya because he has lost a child. but let him unravel his mystery alone. the government should not get involved since they have never really been in cases of death of Nigerian citizens abroad. that is my take on this matter.

WTF! I was thinking the same thing. Isn't this the same man who robbed his state blind? Or am I confused. I'm sooooo confused. The lady whose son died in Dubai wasn't worthy of the federal govt's help? I love jona but this nigga is plain dumb. What a fucking idiot!

We are gradually slipping back to the old testament where God doesnt wait for the fifth generation before unleashing his judgement. So it hurts to lose a child???? It is very unfortunate that the poor innocent boy had to pay for his father's sins...but wait,I know there are countless stories of Nigerians being killed in Ghana ,Malaysia,South Africa and Dubai on this same linda's blog and our dear president didnt do JACK about it.

Suddenly, some sons are more equal than the others....Wait till the revolution of George Orwell's book catches up with all of you one by one.

If Jonathan doesnt stop this corruption, may God visit your family with the pains and agony that the average Nigerian goes through as a result of all your greed!!

Foolish ppl.Sorry o,Alameiseigha!

Life is funny. If FG intervened when Aisha cried for help, maybe a process would have been put in place to prevent Nigerians being seen as easy target to butcher in Dubai.
May his soul rest in peace.

Anonymous said...

So true. They left Aisha to cry alone. They did nothing. Now it is one of their own, the president speaks. This tells badly of our President. He cares only about his cronies. Smh!

Amen! Well said.
