Nigerian musicians should stop creating jobs for South Africans. Their main market is here, yet they go to South Africa to shoot their videos with mainly white and mixed race girls. They need to realise that their preference for use of white and mixed race girls is sending a clear message to the young ones that says lighter and white skin is better than dark skin. This I find extremely disturbing and fear in the near future might promote colorism in this country. Their increasing use of these white and mixed race girls is also an expression of the sad fact that the average Nigerian has an inferiority complex and worships white skin (or anything close to it). It is also annoying that these guys are willing to create economic opportunities for South Africans who have never been shy in showing their disrespect and disdain for Nigerians. What is wrong with our people? Why do we always like diminishing ourselves? It is time for this madness to stop. And Nigerians need to be smarter in spending their money too, why buy the videos of musicians who would rather produce their videos elsewhere and ensure that Nigerians do not benefit economically and professionally from the production process?
