Graphic photos: Suspected female kidnapper burnt to death in Ikorodu

A suspected female kidnapper was burnt to death in Ikorodu earlier Tuesday. According to reports, a man selling meat and an Aboki selling fruits at Allinson Junction, close to United High School, Ikorodu raised alarm after the 40-year-old woman who was acting like a mad person suddenly went to a corner to receive a phone call. They approached her for questioning, and when she couldn't tell them who she was, they handed her over to the Local Vigilante Office. On getting there, she was interrogated by the Deputy Chairman of the vigilante group. There they found on her an iPhone 7, a juju ring, and a list that contains descriptions of children (age range, prices and height) in her bag.

She confessed that she came from Isolo, Lagos, that she didn't come alone and that her other accomplice fled immediately she was caught. The Vigilantes called the police to take the suspect away, but before the police arrived, a mob that had already gathered were calling for her head. They were demanding for Jungle Justice to be carried out on her.
As the Vigilantes couldn't handle the crowd, they took it upon themselves to take her to the police station. Unfortunately, the crowd were too many for them to control.

She was later beaten and burnt to death with her bag containing the list and juju ring.

Okay this shit needs to stop. The police should rather deal with matters rather than individuals taking law into their own hands. Sincerely we need to rally against this jungle justice bullshit ....😒

So anybody that act suspicious will be kill just because they could not explain themselves. Wow, not sure what is going on in Nigeria. I strongly believe if u can burn some one to death u can also kill, steal, and kidnap. I don't really see the different. I hope our police start arresting these animals and send them to life in prison bcos they are not suppose to live with human beings. Jesus Christ, how do you put fire on a fellow human being, a woman for goodness sake. Please the government should take care of animals called people. So barbaric. How do u witness this and go home to continue life as usual or even can easily fall asleep or have a meal.

No matter the crime she has committed, those involve in the killings have all also committed murder. I am against crime in whatsoever form like kidnapping and the likes.
The Nigerian police have a lot to do concerning protecting it citizens again crime and those perpetrating jungle justice. How close is the Police to us?

Until they kidnap your child you'll know how painful it is.... Jungle Justice is bad yeah but then, all we have out there are corrupt policemen and bad legal system. They will grant her bail and release her even if she's guilty... so how would you feel seeing the person that wanted to kidnap your child yesterday riding in Gwagon tomorrow???

#Can the government abi police or whosoever is incharge educate the Nigerian populace about jungle justice. Its really getting out of hand.

The Negative effect of Jungle Justice is that we just lost a golden opportunity to get mnnecessary information from the Victim to be able to aggressively nab the syndicate.

We must not let our emotions override our thinking.

When you drop off your child in school, go back to pick the child but can't find him....he's gone....and for the rest of your life you can never explain what happened to him...then you'll understand jungle justice

Where's the evidence? Burnt to death...this is cold blooded murder. You have murderers in your midst.

Gov Ambode has failed on this one, if something is not done quick, these uncivilized people will continue with this jungle justice of a thing, the police are so corrupt that the civilians have lost their trust in them, so people now believe they will take law into their hands against anyone or gang who commits heinous crime ...The Nigerian Police force needs to educate their men ..

Anonymous said...

Oga Ambode, please can you leave that KFC bucket of chicken and attend to ikorodu affairs?

Anonymous said...

U are a fool for this comment.. Ur thinking is far depreciated. When does the suspected become guilty. When people don't even knw the truth... U are a sad human being..... Aninimaous

Anybody can be a victim of jungle justice in Africa. It could be a set-up. The best thing is not to kill or burnt suspects but hand suspects to the police immediately. Tomorrow, the next suspect could be you. Most Nigerians are partially literate, illiterate or dropouts!
