Fayose: Buhari’s wife hurried trip to London confirms my claim, insists President is on life-support

Fayose: Buhari’s wife hurried trip to London confirms my claim, insists President is on life-support
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that the hurried trip embarked to London by First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari was a confirmation that President Muhammadu Buhari’s health had deteriorated, saying that “It is six days since I addressed the press and today, I still insist that the President is indeed on life-support.”

Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka said the governor, who addressed some journalists in Lagos on Monday, insisted that “The worsen condition of the President’s health necessitated the hurried trip of our First Lady, Her Excellency Aisha Buhari to London and it is hoped that she will have the courage to tell Nigerians the truth this time around.”

He said “no one is interested in President Buhari’s death. Rather, we are interested in freeing Nigeria from the hands of these few individuals who are presently holding the country to ransom.”

Governor Fayose, who maintained that President Buhari must resign, said; “Today is the 184th day of 2017. Out of these 184 days, our President has spent 107 days abroad taking care of his health.
“How does a nation move forward when its President is spending the better part of his time abroad for Medicare?
“For how long can Nigeria and its people wait for a President who is incapacitated? For how long can our people continue to suffer just because some people want to hold on to power at all cost?
“That was the reason I raised the issue of President Buhari’s age, health and mental capacity in 2015 and warned against electing President him.”

Speaking further, the governor said; “Nigerians should be reminded that in 2010 when there was uncertainty over the health of the then President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, President Buhari called on the National Assembly to impeach Yar'Adua.
“The Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who was the Spokesperson of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) also said Nigerians should be briefed daily on Yar’Adua’s health status. Lai Mohammed said then that ‘the health of the President, as a public figure cannot be of interest only to his family and friends. Nigerians have a right to know.’
“Just the same way President Buhari asked the National Assembly to remove Yar’Adua in 2010; I am also insisting that the President must be made to bow out of office so that Nigeria and its people can be saved from this state of uncertainty.
“No doubt, it has been argued that since Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is already functioning as Acting President, President Buhari can be bedridden for as long as his illness last, but the reality that Nigerians must accept is that the Acting President cannot fully exercise the powers of the President.
“However, pending his resignation, I am also aligning myself with what Lai Mohammed said in 2010 on Yar’Adua’s health by demanding that he (Lai Mohammed) should begin a daily briefing of Nigerians based on authentic details provided by the President's doctors.
“Nigeria belongs to all of and its collective interest remains greater than those of any individual or group and together, we must save Nigeria.”

Out of 184 days,d president has spent 107 days taking care of himself..Nigerians pls open ur collective brains for once..we made d mistake in 2015..how can we continue to PITY d president, how can a job continue to PITY the employee indefinitely ?

Fayose needs to shut his stinking mouth and face governance in his state. While we are advocating for youthful leadership, it is not the type of Fayose who has no idea or plan for his people rather than going to the market to buy fish or riding Okada all over the town. We are tired of your obsession with Buhari. When he dies, se o fe supo Aisha ni?

I know fayose..dont like buhari..keep hate aside, he is saying the truth.. the few cabals as there call their self are only interested on power not the well being of Nigeria. Nature is not fear and no one can rewrite it. If nature has cache up with buhari then let him resign.. is faith not man doing.. if there keep trying, it will portray Nigeria as the most corrupt nation in the world, this will dam all his intentions and not only that it will take too many years to repair that image

Like it or not fayose is saying d truth.one man can not hold dis nation to ransome. The acting president cannt do much bcos he won't have free hand in making decisions bcos he might feel his boss won't support his moves wat ever he does he still has the thoughts that he has a boss he is not d boss.so the earlier we sort buhari issues out d better for us

PLEASE IF YOU THINK FAYOSE IS THE BLOODY SINNER TO RAISE THIS MOTION, KINDLY DO SO.. ARE YOU NOT NIGERIAN? E DEY SWEET YOU? DO YOU KNOW THE PAIN OF HUNGER OR DO YOU THINK MOST FRUSTRATED PEOPLE ARE NOT STRIVING FOR OPPORTUNITIES? YOU SHOULD AGREE WITH FAYOSE ON THIS ONE B4 BOMBADING HIM BECAUSE AT THIS VERY POINT IN THE NIGERIAN HISTORY, WE DO NOT NEED TO SLOW DOWN NOT FOR A SINGLE REASON.IF THE PRESIDENT IS SICK, HE SHOULD KINDLY RESIGN.LET THE PRESIDENT PITY NIGERIANS AND LET GO OFF POWER AND FACE HEALTH CARE. GO TO YOUTUBE AND WATCH THE "CHANGE PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAING" AND SEE FOR YOUR SELF THAT WE ARE ALL LIVING IN A LIE....

@Abdullahi Mohammed -4 July 2017 at 08:04- you need to think logically and constructively- the issue under discussion is not about Fayose's obsession with Buhari. For once, I think Fayose got it right- if Buhari cannot govern, he should hang over power to the VP. In any other country, a president who spends more than 3 months outside his country has to either resign or be impeached. Why must Buhari continue to be president if he is not fit enough to hold office?

This man sounds too mentally unbalanced to be a governor. If Buhari is on life support, his wife will not leave his side.

That is if they will allow her to see him this time around....or unless if its another cover face because of all the backlash she's been getting as to her gallivanting all over the place instead of being by her husbands side, even if the cabal don't allow her to see him she should remain there in the U.K....but they should make sure they return one of the planes back home o....

APC IS A DISASTER TO THIS COUNTRY CALLED NIGERIA!!

I HOPE NIGERIANS WILL BE UNITED TO VOTE APC OUT IN 2019!!

IF BUHARI CONTINUES THIS WAY IT WILL BE A ZERO VOTE FOR APC IN 2019!!

BUT, MY PRAYER IS LET NIGERIA REMAIN AS ONE TILL THEN!!

Your name already tells me why your post is so moronic. Tribalism has blinded you that you can't even see the danger this country is currently in.
Please my brother open your eyes and see that these people you are blindly defending do not have the interest Of The common man at heart, all they care about is holding on to power for as long as they can and amassing wealth (resources that belong to you and I for their unborn generations. Please my brother let us move past tribal and religious sentiments and seriously begin to think about the collective good of our country.

If fayose is wrong lyk so many are commenting, let lia muhammed react on dis issue. D president is nt just for his cabals, family or d north. So let him say sumtin.

I have never liked Fayose for once. In this case he's saying the Truth. Let pmb resign. We are ready to pay him his salary till 2019. Good intention is not enough to move this country forward. We need serious and urgent actions. Wishing pmb quick recovery.
