A freak accident happened in Ojota town very early this
morning as a container (cargo truck) fell on two fully loaded commercial
buses.
As at press time the total number of dead
passengers couldn't be ascertained but 3 passengers have been
rescued alive with Lagos State Emergency Management Agency officials on
ground. More photos after the cut..

Yes it's happening of the day after government will come out to tell us they do this and that why masses are dying everyday,Example of this that will soon happen is at sunny road(Alhaji OKIN street) in OJO LGA Lagos because now the road over there is very bad and their local government Chairman are doing nothing but only to eat money

We have rail tracks everywhere in apapa yet we still prefer tankers and containers. God have mercy on us.
Oh! My God! Container fall on you. Life is worthless in this country. Government have no regard for our lives. I suggest we all go to aso rock or wherever they are and kill every last one of them.
When a country leaves container transportation to drug using charlatans, this is what you get?
You go fear English o o
Heartbreaking rending....nna small small o
Containers falling over is a common occurrence. Why would they fall, you ask?! Well, there are no laws governing any industry in that country requiring the containers to be firmly secured to the truck carrying it, no inspection requirements to ensure such trucks are capable of carrying the load of the containers, and no judicial system to hold reckless corporations accountable along with bad roads all over the place due to government neglect. Such will not happen where the government actually cares to enforce such law and order, which western corporation wants to get caught in such a matter to ruin their brand and cost them billions in legal fees and payouts?! African governments clearly have no idea of what needs to be done and need to do better. As you can see in the pictures, there is actually no equipment lifting the containers off the buses that would have been there for a very long time. Where do we start?! Start suing the government for not providing adequate public services such as those that could have prevented this in the first place as I listed above as well as for lack of adequate first responder services after the incidence to maximize lives saved. When they start losing these cases and have to fiscally settle victims to the tune of billions then they will start using their brains to do what is right!
Stupid comment from you as usual..
This is really sad. When will this container mistake stop? So many people have lost their lives. The nigerian government has to do something fast about these falling containers.
Well said!.
Very heartbreaking. @techieg;God bless you for your comment. Our govt. need to put in place such laws and ensure the laws are enforced. By so doing every corporate will ensure that their containers are likely to either send their brand out from being feasible.
Nigeria still got a long way to go.wake up,secure and protect the lives of your citizens.
For Pete's sake can we raise the #suegovernmentovercontainers or #suecontainerowners in general awareness? This happens all the time and people just lick their wounds and move on , the silly buffons who own these containers are living well and don't care. We need to create an awareness over this rubbish. Oh Lord!!! May their souls rest in peace. So sad!
May God have mercy on us. Bad road, weak policy and corruption are the major factors here.
