The
spokesman of the Oyo Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed
the incident said Mr. Bamiro was rescued by the prompt intervention of
police
officers from the Oluyole Division of the command in response to a
distress call.
The former VC, who was shot on the right foot was taken
to UCH where he is currently receiving treatment, according to a report by Premium Times.
Mr.
Ajisebutu also disclosed that the Police Commissioner, Sam Adegbuyi,
has ordered the anti-kidnapping squad to go after the gunmen.
A first class graduate and professor of Mechanical Engineering, Bamiro was the 10th vice chancellor of UI.

I don't get it. Why bloodshed and murders in the school system as well. Yeah I get politics but why would being a VC or councillor of a school cause people to want to kill themselves
