President Buhari failed to show up at the meeting the national leaders of the APC called for with the hope of resolving all the issues regarding the choice of candidates to field for the National Assembly leadership election which has already taken place. According to reports, President Buhari was meant to have presided over the meeting which was to hold at the International Conference Center by 9am but he did not show up.
Most of the Senators who were against Senator Bukola's candidacy as Senate president were waiting at the venue of the meeting with the president when the election at the Senate took place.
Senator Bola Tinubu, APC National Publicity Secretary Lai Mohammed and some APC Governors awaited the arrival of President Buhari who never showed up.

Remember he has said before that he will not get involved in the two houses matter and that he will work with anyone that is elected to lead the two houses. One of the greatest ability that I expect PMB to show in his reign as our President is how well he will be able to handle all the big wings in his party without any division because when such division starts development will end and all we will keep hearing is impeachment notice flying round. The ability to manage all the big boys of the party begins from PMB by showing full scale accountability to Nigerians after which he will be branded by his party boys/men as a man that accept no non-sense. So, it begins from him.
