Photos from Night of tribute for late Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh

A night of tribute for phenomenal Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh who died on August 19th from Ebola was held yesterday September 11th at Harbour Point Hotel in Lagos. Her ash will be buried today at a private family ceremony. Pictured above is her only child, Bankole Cardoso, 2nd right, with friends. See another pic after the cut...

Dr. Ameyo's son, sisters and husband.

This is good dt she's being honored, but what about the nurse that died too? Y isn't she being given as much honor or attention?

Dear Linda, you don't bury ash, you spread it.

Bankole and his Cardoso cousins are all smiles. Hmm, youths! Contrast that to the picture below.

Their brother, Kodjo is there too (on the right.) Next to Ama. Very sad.

God bless her soul. She deserves a posthumous award. I know this post will not exceed 200 comments but when JOAN RIVERS is buried some of these LIBers that can't subscribe to family bouquet DSTV and can only afford 3 for N1000 leggings will come here and start shouting "RIP Joan Rivers, I'll miss you and fashion police dearly".
May Amadioha arrest you.

Abi o! Its clearly a family thing. The above was organised by her family whose resources far exceeds that of the Nurse's family. The Government should step in and do something 4 our modern heroes. Watching the 9/11 remembrance by the US government yesterday made me weep and ask God, "why am I Nigerian"?

Beautiful young people. God rest the good doctor and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

This event was arranged by her family and friends. It's up to the nurse's family/friends do something.

@ Anon 10:06AM, this pic is about a night of tribute by HER family and friends, it is not about Nigeria honouring her. Hopefully, that will come later and also for the other heroes and heroines.

May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen! But do people mourn with smiles now? Do they need to be reminded that they are bereaved and therefore should not be smiling? It's a shame to death!

I was there. The picture was taken after the ceremony I believe. The family are mourning privately. Not everyone likes to make a show of his/her grief. All those who spoke lifted up their spirits anyway.
Ameyo was a wonderful lady, may her soul rest in perfect peace.

some people are just stupid hypocrites. So because they are smiling, they are not mourning abi. They should have come to hire you as professional cryer na. So youre the ones that will tell his son how to mourn and express his grief. The photographer may have requested they smile at that moment, instead of seeing everyone cry in pictures. Plus it's a celebration of life, not death. Shes being honored as a hero & that's what the focus of the program should be. They may have had an uplifting preacher that delivered such a message as opposed to wailing and crying
