While presiding over a case brought before him by the legal team of Senator Kashamu this morning, Justice Okon Abang described as illegal, the attempted arrest and extradition of Kashamu in relation to drug-trafficking allegations which he had been previously exonerated by two British courts. Justice Abang ordered the NDLEA, Attorney General of the Federation, National Adviser to President on Security and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to pay Buruji Kashamu N20,000.

Today, is a great day for justice. Finally, justice is done. If u want to extradite someone u go to court. We do not want jungle justice in Nigeria. This is not a banana republic.
My country my country people is there any justice in the land? I drove past kasamu's lekki resident just now and saw a battalion of NDLEA men just for one man for a crime two uk courts have dismissed....well that's not my point as I drive barely two more kilometers away from kasamu's house in the same lekki one, a bunch of miscreants
that have been selling drugs of all kinds to the kids and citizens of the federal republic of government living in lekki one in broad day light and the NDLEA cant see them or they are blind....if with what i saw at kasamu's home ,is the same manner they stormed the avalon road where the real drug dealers are in the open selling all sort of drugs.....well its obvious that the life of an ordinary nigerian is not important to the governent unless you are big enough to step on their toes then the rule of law comes into play right! Many of our kids,sisters, brothers, sons,daughters visit this notorious drug place because the govt doesn't care that much for its citizen..but we can prevent the alleged drug pusher in america from harming americans that use the drug they claim he pushed. American lifes are better protected than Nigerian lifes even on our home soil......big shame!!

I read most of the comments here and i was like Hmmmm Naija my country!! Meanwhile if the guy said he doesn't wanna go to US i think i understand his feelings cos we just heard of man that been jail by the US government for murder for over 20somfn yrs b4 the US government later find out that he's not the real murder of the same case that kept him behind the Bar for over 2decade...what I'm trying to say here is that the US judiciary are not competent enough and they might jail Kashamu also for case he did not commit...F**k US government too!!!
