Upticomm Unveils TheRoleModelSeries Conference 2015 to Commemorate Children’s Day on May 27

2015 Upticomm Marketing Company, a fast growing full-service public relations and integrated marketing communications consulting firm, today unveiled TheRoleModelSeries Conference; an interactive and educativementor-protégé programme for teenagers in public secondary schoolsdesigned to commemorateChildren’s Day on May 27.

TheRoleModelSeries™ Conference, an interventionist programmedesigned as a bridge to provide education, mentoring and inspiration using distinguished and reputable personalities in private, business and public life, will hold atMain Auditorium, University of Lagos.

The inaugural edition of TheRoleModelSeries™ Conference with the theme: “The Inspired Teenager: Life Changing Lessons from Mentors” will feature over 300 teenagers in public secondary schools in Lagos between 12 – 16 years. There will be, inspirational speeches, presentations, Q&A sessions, drama skit and syndicate session including presentation of prizes, awards and plaques to deserving individuals and organisations.

Speaking during a media interactive forum held at company’s conference room in Lagos, Olusegun McMedal, Chief Reputation Strategist, Upticomm Marketing Company, said that,“The ideabehind TheRoleModelSeries™ Conferenceis driven by the need to create access for teenagers to learn directly from role models in the society.Research has shown that the increasing rise in vices can be traced to people who finished from public schools largely due to lack of support and guidance from authority figures who could guide and inspire themto make the right choice in their formative years. This is a cause that Upticomm wants to champion and we encourage other well-meaning individuals and organisations to support us going forward”.

He stressedthat the road to successful careerrequire more than the basic education as research has shown that almost all the successful people have mentors who could be parents, teachers, coaches or other authority figures who encourage and guide them to make informed decisions in life.

TheRoleModelSeries™ Conferenceoffer a wide range of resources for sponsorship, and networking geared to promote programs and services that support teenagers in public schools to stay engaged in education, skill development, employment and entrepreneurship which will directly benefit young people and their families.
