TalktomeDoc.com – Free doctor consultation – anytime, anywhere

Do you have any health concern? Have you had a lingering situation and don’t have money to go to a hospital. It could be you, your baby or anyone you know in your family that wants to speak to a Doctor but has not been able to afford a consultation. TalktomeDoc is offering free video consultation for Nigerians to talk free of charge to over 1000 Doctors on their platform...

Simply go to www.talktomedoc.com/ join and sign up for free. Based on your issue or concern, select from one of our accredited Doctors and connect to them via a secured video link from your computer or any android tablet. Our Doctors will be able to advise you on what to do, can prescribe drugs for you and refer you for further tests or to an actual hospital if the need arises.

Speaking on the release of the beta solution of TalktomeDoc, the CEO, Mr. Nduka Udeh, says,
“We understand the economic realities of many Nigerians. Times are hard and most people can't afford the cost of a hospital consultation. Many have taken to self-medication and just go to a pharmacy to request for any drug that comes to their mind. With the free consultation been offered by TalktomeDoc, we want to make an impact by allowing people with health concerns to see a Doctor anytime and from anywhere they have an internet connection. The solution is presently available for desktops running Google chrome browser and android tablets. We are also working on the release of an app shortly that will allow all devices to access our Doctors easily from mobile phones”
Mr. Nduka, further stated that there is a shortage of medical personnel in Nigeria. With a population of 180 million and just about 30,000 Doctors in Nigeria, we are short of about 400,000 Doctors needed to meet the UN requirement for the delivery of effective health care to all. Millions cannot afford the cost of a hospital visit. Hundreds of primary care centres all over the country do not have stationed medical Doctors and people have to travel miles at times to see a Doctor. The government cannot do it alone and the private sector has to help.

TalktomeDoc is Nigeria’s number one Telemedicine Company that allows members to talk to Doctors via a secure video connection. Hence allowing you and the Doctor to see each other just like you will in a real hospital. After the consultation, the Doctor can prescribe the necessary drugs, refer you to a diagnostic centre if further tests are needed or even refer to a hospital where it’s absolutely necessary to have a one on one consultation with a Physical Doctor.

Our aim is to provide an easy way for members to reach out to Doctors anywhere they may be, and anytime. By providing a platform for Doctors to talk to patients online, we have been able to reduce the traditional cost of getting medical advice to patients during both normal and emergency situations. For now, we are offering the service for free and advice Nigerians who have any form of medical concern, where ever they may be, to log on to talktomedoc.com, sign up for a free account, and select from tens of available Doctors to discuss your health issues confidentially and absolutely free.

Even when you can’t talk for other reasons, we advise people to like us on Facebook where one of our Doctors is able to answer a few of your health questions any time any day. We believe in better health for all.
Being the first release of the platform, we encourage all our members to email us below with any issues experienced or suggestions they may have to make the platform a lot better.

We believe in better health for all.

A hospital card in most teaching hospitals is 1000 naira or less. Even cheaper in general hospitals. I'm sure if one can afford an Android phone, tablet and internet connection, he can afford to go to a hospital. Nice idea for the rich Sha, not for the poor as the advert is trying to imply.

Have you ever considered the stressful trip to hospital, especially if it happens the hospital is a bit far, waiting on long queues in the hospital, just to see the doctor for 10 minutes or less. With that same 1000 naira you said, you can conveniently sit at your home or wherever u are and speak to a doctor on talktomedoc. I have tried it and its not necessarily for the rich as you claimed.
