Gen Olukolade replaced as Director of Defence Information
General Chris Olukolade has been replaced as the Director of Defence Information. According to a statement from the Nigerian Army, Colonel Rabe Abubakar will take over from him in Acting capacity. Gen Olukolade became DFI in March 2013.

The preponderance of people from a particular geographical region of the nation in the military -especially in the top brass-is nothing short of ALARMING.
The memories I have of Gen. Olukolade that won't just go away were during the early days of the unfortunate #ChibokGirls abduction when CNN's Isha Sesay made the General flounder, fluster and fumble with very critical questions. I really felt for him then, not until the release of his books which won him some ounces of my respect. Good luck in your new assignment, Soldier. But hausas join d military d most more dn any other tribe. Dts why it seemed like they ruled for long during d military regime. Its bcos 70% of d military and its leaders were northern. Ruling Nigeria for long wasnt a tribal intentional thing cos they kept overthrowing themselves, it just was what it was.Its in dis democracy everyone has a fair chance & d presidency shld be rotated tribe by tribe in my opinion, like in switzerland.
