To be honest with you, I think there's more sadness in the world. A lot of people are sad due to several factors like poverty, unfairness between the poor and rich, even the rich is also sad because more money, more problems. We just need to call on God to be our helper.
I think there are more sad people than happy people. I say this because more people seem to be living or pretend to be living a life for social media. There is less quality and quantity of face to face interactions. People smile mostly for the camera for selfies & usies and go home lonely or are just plain lonely in a crowd. In Nigeria specifically, mostly people are trying to be "better than their neighbors" going through and taking shit to acquire shit they don't need. They can't sleep cos they are worried about protecting and maintaining all these things...haboring insecurities cos they are concerned about "my things are better than yours". I believe we have more sad pple in d world than happy pple cuz wen have a lot of pple suffering nd smiling, killings everywhere, pple loosing dere loved ones, hunger, poverty, illment, unfulfilled drms nd expectations. Now d ability to fight all this nd atleast get 50% of postive change then u can say pple are happy cuz u can't get eveything bt atleast half would be better nd would bring smiles on pples face.
I think there are more sad people on earth than there are happy people. A lot of the happy faces u see as masks, deep down the wearers are fighting demons, the face is just a front so they don't have to explain why they are sad.

Linda, first is to define sadness and happiness? To be Able to prove the percentage of happiness to sadness a research has to be done to get a correct analysis. No one can categorically state that happiness is more to sadness. Although with recent happenings in our world today, one can argue that sadness is more. Still yet people still go to clubs, parties and social gatherings happily. I argue that if the world is really sad, parties and social gathering should be extremely low now. Looking at happiness/sadness from a layman's point of view, u will be shocked to see that the percentage of happiness is more. Sadness does not stay for a long period, but happiness is an everyday process. Every man and woman tends to work and live towards achieving happiness. And yes we still have sadness but it's just for a while.

Sometimes people make you feel sad with the kind of words they utter and at such times some persons acts like the insult or comment didn't get to them, but deep inside they are pained. In my honest observed opinion, there are more sad people in the world than happy people.

I reckon a lot of pple are sad because of sad and difficult situations. Moreso, pple think that being rich and accumulating wealth is the key to happiness- so wrong.
