Nope KENNY AND D1 BUILT THE STARTED THE MOMENTUM
Mr Oga Ade Bangali, you so wished you did sir. Kenny Ogungbe and Dayo Adeneye made the ent industry today possible with the help of Raypower.Eve Pman in all it's years did not do half of what those two did to make Nigerian hiphop or Nigerian music acceptable to all Nigerians and outside our shores.
Is 2face still standing? I think not. He's standing on one leg right now
Dbanj I see you're smoking a lot of angel dust. Well you did help to up the ante in the industry today, but certainly did not build it!
you guys dont really understand, what they meant, read what they said, they did not say the made me what it is today, what they simply means was they had to inprove it in terms of music and sound , they were the once who change sound of beat in nigeria, you guys should not misunderstand them please,
Oga DEE said... you said the truth honestly. they brought the glamor and style change the sound of music in nigeria today, so you guys should not misunderstand them and stop the insult abeg, atleats they also contributed to it today
2faceee....talented guy...mehn! hu be dbanj...abeggi
To build can be seem as to set standard, raise pple n stuff. ...definitely they built d industry. ..
i will give the two of them credit 'only' for the hype the industry has now...Look at when telecommunication companies started endorsing artists.dbanj was the first person..these dudes created an avenue for the general public to know the worth of our artists and appreciate them more..most of these artists are driving bentleys and living in fancy houses because of what dbanj and donjazzy started..take it or leave it,they should get a big part of the credit..i don come...
Dis Linda u like trouble,u r givin his statement a different meanin entirely. Is bloggin nt ur own industry u built??????stop dis madness of twisting d simple context of a msg...don't hav yo do dat to make it. Ogini!
The first honest comment...
The industry was in place before the duo came on board.
Tola dis ppl u hav mentioned who are they 2 day? I wunt even atten dier show if it was free! Donjazzy and Dbanj are arranged by god Dbanj greed cannot separate dem dey are like bread and butter perfect for each other bye
Its true to an extent... All I remember is why me and Fall in love and I'm not even Nigerian, it blew up...2 Face though is part of it
He should say they contributed cos if I remember mo'hits was all about songs like big buts and stuff, we could have as well gone on without them.
I will categorically start by saying that D'banj didn't build any industry. Let's get that clear. Do not get me wrong, he has contributed immensely to what the industry has to offer today and how much local content has been accepted.
There have been pioneers and i will state that in categorizing an industry, it needs to be PROFITABLE. When growing up, it wasn't and the likes of plantashun boiz, remedies and the likes had clout, but weren't making bank.
It was with the innovation that eLDee came up with (distribution deal in alaba) that virtually changed the game and created value for the already existent music.
D'banj was one of the very first benefactors of that distribution agreement with marketers and many more acts.
Everyone has contributed to the industry as it is, but to say you BUILT it, please observe some chill.
The following YouTube link has him admitting and thanking eLDee for what was started before his entrance into the scene:
