Earlier on Sunday, Noxolo apparently told the suspect to take his child
from a previous relationship home and on the way back he was involved in
a car accident.
A source said the relationship between the
suspect and his baby mama ended badly before he got involved with
Noxolo. Sources close to the couple said the cop was very loving towards
Noxolo but had a short temper.
"We don’t know if he blamed Noxolo for the car accident, because when
she asked him where the car was he responded with a hail of bullets,"
said the source.
A member of Noxolo’s family said the boyfriend called the family on Tuesday.
"He said he was sorry for everything and was willing to take on all the
burial expenses if we would allow him, to do so," she said.
She also claimed the boyfriend even gave the family the pin number for his bank card.
"We will be meeting with his family after we have decided whether we
want him to bury our child or not," said a family member.
Colonel Jay Naicker said:
"A case of murder was opened. The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage."
