A LIB reader was going for jogging this morning in Utako, Abuja, when she saw this heavily pregnant woman with her 3 children sleeping by the road. 30
minutes later, she said she came back and met her and asked her what the problem was and
she said she'd been evicted from her house. Asked about her
husband and she said he left them early this year. She said they are from Abuja and gave her name as mama Joy. Sad! If there are any NGOs around the area that can assist this family, please do. See more photos after the cut...

I feel so sorry for her, but my question is, must every body live in Abuja? If Abuja is not favourable then go back to the village. Did I hear her husband is no where to be found, I wont be surprised if he is co habiting with one Abuja big babe somewhere, that is what they do.
Please dont blame the landlord for evicting them, Landlord too needs money to pay schools fees and other things. Not everybody is like me that my tenant is owing me 5 months rent and he is cool about it.

No home and she has kids and is also pregnant. That means she has nothing doing to help herself with, for it to get to this point of sleeping on the road. Why is it that those who can't take proper care of 1 child would want to give birth to many. I've come to understand that majority of the less privileged people are the ones who give birth to more children. About child birth I think our constitution should regulate the number of children a person can give birth to based on their income and assets. Over population is one of the reason why Nigeria is not growing. We should be able to make policies that would help this country. Starting with this child bearing. And our Men should please learn to take care of their wives and Families. Why would a full grown man subject his family to this kind of embarrassment, and life that a pregnant woman has to sleep on the road with her kids? What if something had happened to them over the night? May God forgive that man as he deserved to rot in jail. Please miss Linda, let us know how we can help also.
