P’Harcourt, Warri refineries commence petroleum production – NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC says the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries have commenced petroleum production after some in-house engineers conducted a nine-month rehabilitation on both facilities.

The oil corporation announced this in a statement released by its General Manager, Public Affairs Division, Mr Ohi Alegbe yesterday. The statement in part reads
“What this means is that both plants have resumed production of petroleum products. For now, about 60 per cent of its 210,000 barrels per day production capacity is being achieved, but it is projected that it will hit its installed 125,000 barrels per day capacity soon,”
The statement added that the Port Harcourt refinery would eventually hit five million litres of petrol per day, while Warri would contribute 3.5 million litres of petrol.

Wow! I hope it improves the economy. Good job Jonathan. Maybe you can persuade buhari to stop travelling up and down, release his ministerial list and start working. Cos he has done ABSOLUTELY nothing since he became president.

What a good news, I pray all refineries in Nigeria will start producing. This will really improve our economy and reduce the price of foreign currency.

Unknown said...

later they'll say it was buhari's effort. jonathan had his flaws but he also had great plans.

Go GEJ. The visionary. I'm proud of Goodluck

Anonymous said...

It's a good news ooo it's just a matter of time before oil can't sustain us again. The sanction on Iran has been lighted just a matter of time before Iran comes on the international stage with their oil. And with the dwindling oil prices we expect the price to be lowered again. It's time for Nigeria to start diversifying into other ways of generation revenue else... Just a matter of time.

Unknown said...

Good. But maintenance is key! Without it, we will still go back to how it was..

Unknown said...

Goodnews. We need kaduna own to begin production too.

Busy Fingers.

Well done PMB. Your presence alone is already performing magic. Electricity has become stable.
