Family members and supporters of the condemned 9 drug traffickers in Indonesia say their final goodbye

Some families and supporters of the Bali 9 condemned drug traffickers arrived at Cilacap port to say their final goodbye.

Chan with his fiancé now wife.
Andrew Chan who married his partner Febyanti Herewila yesterday inside the prison on 'death Island' said it was a bitter sweet time for him while Myuran Sukumaran's famiy members were there for him. Myuran's sister Brintha wailed as she was supported by family members, she could not control her crying as she made her way through the crowds of people outside the port gates. A
t one point she collapsed and had to be supported by other family members, including her mother.

Myuran and Andrew Chan
Chan's mother Helen Chan arrived visibly crying and had to be carried away as police officers led the family through the crowd.

After the family arrived at the port, an ambulance arrived at the ferry terminal with nine coffins on board, which made them more upset. Inside the port complex, family members could be heard wailing for their doomed loved ones who are just hours from facing a firing squad. The families arrived on Monday but were told they would give their final goodbyes today Tuesday 28th April, 2015.

Amnesty International has begged the Indonesian Government to wait for one more court date to be heard for all 9 convicts but the execution is still expected to take place after midnight on Wednesday, Indonesian time.
Chilling step by step depiction of how the prisoners will be killed.
Executions expected to go ahead despite court agreeing to hear legal challenge on May 12.

it is really eally sad. The case of the filipino ladyy is the saddest, she was looking for a job and all evidences points to the fact that she didn't know the job agent had placed drugs in her bag. With the kind of international publicity and condemnation this executions are getting ,I don't think the president will last long in power , he has been in power for just 6months and his popularity rating has even gone down by almsot 60%

quite a pity. May their souls rest in peace and let their death serve as a warning to other youths looking for quick money. But the Indonisian government is very brutal and wicked. What is wrong hearing the convicted last appeals? why the haste in executing them? This is sheer wickedness and hope other countries of the world will reciprocate same whenever any of Indonisian national is convicted for any crime...it is not just repatriation but they should be given the harshest penalty...even death!

Thank you. Some Nigerians are quick to judge. If they've suffered a broken home where drug use is the culprit; they wouldn't be feeling pity for these crooks. They are only sorry they got caught not because they are sorry for ruining Ives and you can imagine impurities in the drugs, the number of sudden deaths it could cause? Nigerians need to be around a junky and the missing tole this because they smoked and snuffed all their teeth and health out. Stop drug trafficking! It's illegal and it destroys the life of those affected and the kids from those homes suffer even more especially when born by a mom on heroine. Ta! Their parents should cry for not raising a better child and the lives destroyed by their child's trafficking, that's what they should cry for. Death Penalty might be harsh, but it's the law of the land, you respect it or get out. Just like 14 years in jail for gay acts or suspicion of being gay in Nigeria is harsh and extreme. But it's the law of the land, if you don't like it and you are gay, get out. By the way, I'm very tolerant and friends with gays and lesbians and love them.

Anonymous said...

So you give them life sentence in prison, who pays for their upkeep? Just asking o, I case you haven't thought about it? Your tax, that's where it goes. So you labor in the sun all day, just to give criminals three square meals a day. The three square meals you barely can eat yourself. What if they get sick, their rooms? Their jail clothes? Their toothpaste? Their brush and sponges? Maintenance of the prison cell? It's not sustainable. By the way, these guys can be in prison and be running multi-million dollars drug trafficking business successfully. why aid them when you can kill the parasite of your economy?

yeka_temi said...

Oh...Jesus is Lord forever! *teary eyes*

Anonymous said...

Their wickedness no be small. Even when people commit murder, they usually just get a life-in-prison sentence. It takes a really heinous crime to get the death sentence. These people weren't even doing drugs, they were just selling it. Did the Indonesian govt kill their citizens who bought the drugs and indeed are still gonna buy from another source? This punishment is just too heartless abeg. In the 21st Century for that matter.

Anonymous said...

Those that are drug addicts only have themselves to blame. The drugs will always be available in one way or another if someone is desperate enough to find them. So any addict, nah them sabi. The drug sellers are not holding them by the neck or forcing them to buy.

Anonymous said...

So you're tolerant and love gays and lesbians but you don't have enough heart to see why these young people don't deserve to die? Anyone that is a drug addict should not dare try and blame a drug dealer (unless they were forced) for their addiction. If drugs ruined a home, it's not because the seller was selling it; it's because that member of their family had no self control in the first place and began to use the substance indiscriminately. What of alcohol that ruins even more homes than drugs? Do the liquor sellers get blamed because one man got so drunk and beat up his wife and children? Abeg please shut up and apply common sense before you write. And use that big heart that you have to also care about other human beings that are not just gays and lesbians. No matter what, it is barbaric and uncalled for to murder people for the distribution of drugs. In most of the civilized world, even murderers do not receive the death sentence. Don't be heartless.
