Kaduna Refinery reportedly shut down following renewed attacks on oil facilities in Niger Delta

Following the renewed attacks by some militants on oil facilities in the Niger Delta region, the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) has reportedly stopped production. According to Leadership, the refinery stopped production last week Tuesday. A source at the refinery said
"We have shut down production for now. We do not have crude supply. I am sure it is due to the renewed militancy in the Niger Delta region. We will resume production as soon as we started getting crude supply from the Niger Delta. We are ready and our equipment are functional, the only problem now is the crude".

Everything is falling apart in this country.
From NYSC to increase in fuel price to strikes and protests to this one now... What more should we be expecting from this administration...

I know we will get to the promised land one day, but we know why the Israelites use 40yrs to make a journey of 40days, why can't we learn from that?? Or is our change going to be like that of the isrealites of the old?

Terrorists become more confident to challenge the Nigerian government due to the absence of a grim penal system to severely punish captured terrorists apart from killing them in battle. For example there should be extremely stringent laws carrying the death penalty under which the government will make public example of terrorists. The absence of a grim penal system like this gives terrorists the confidence that they can get away with their evil activities. It is not for nothing that the US set up Guantanamo bay detention camp and tried terrorists under special laws. The Nigerian government should take a cue from this else a multitude of terrorist groups will continue to spring up and make nonsense of government efforts at developing the country.
