Reps Probe petroleum minister for N10billion private jet expenses

The House of Representatives yesterday passed a resolution to probe the expenditures of the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Maduekwe, on a private jet she allegedly charters for private use and maintains with public funds.
According to the sponsor of the bill, Hon Samuel Adejare who represents Lagos State, the minister maintains the jet with 500,000euros or N130 million monthly
"Thus, in the last two years, the minister has committed at least N3.120bn to maintaining the private jet, which is used solely for her personal needs and those of her immediate family, which is an appalling act"he said. He said the frequent use of the Jet by the Minister and her family members has caused an estimated N10billion to be spent on it for maintenance, fuel, payment of crew members, hanger rentage and others.
In a unanimous vote, the house members adopted the resolution and mandated its committee on Public Accounts to investigate the matter and provide results within 3weeks.
In a related development, a member of the House, Hon Aminu Suleiman through a motion he presented to the house, revealed that the Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas NLNG had not remitted any of its generated revenue to the federation account since 2004 till date. The house committee on Natural Gas was directed to investigate the claims by Hon Aminu.

For sure, this will be the last straw that breaks the camel back for super woman Madam Dieziani... I see no reason why Mr. President has to keep her again. Pending the conclusion of this investigation, let her be suspended just like Mallam Lamido was suspended. Please this kind of story is not appealing to hearing for Heaven sake, People are suffering in this country, where is our super model Hon. minister of Petroleum flying to? Is She meeting with heavenly bodies or celestial angels to spend such an outrageous amount of money on private jet or what is She even keeping private jet for? Please Nigerians lend your voices, we cannot continue with this kind of news now and then. Before you and I know it some fools loyalist of Mr. President and Madam super Model will try to make a cover up for this mess. We cannot allow this to be swept under carpet. we need an answer from Madam Dieziani, this is rather too much.

The sack of this woman is long overdue, since our leaders can't resign from office out of respect from their personalities when they are connected to any scandal, then they should be sacked while investigations are ongoing, and not just sacking, if they are found guilty, they should dance to the music of the law

Its rather unfortunate on the whole corruption saga ongoing in several ministry in Nigeria today. Just like someone recently lavished millions of naira of Nigerians commonwealth on vehicles, now its a private jet.
Come to think of it, is it possible to spend billions on a property that isn't yours? Lets just say the plane is hers, but now that she is in government claiming it is hired.....till she leave office.
Its a common practise among ministers, of government officials. I am not surprised.
Gods judgment awaits every bad leader this year 2014.

This whole brouhaha of 10billion is beginning to look like a playing mantis. The melodramas unfolding within this GEJ administration is reaching the realm where this people will soon bring mob action on themselves irrespective of the security attachee. This constant rape of our common resources with sooo much impunity by the cabinet members of GEJ is increasingly questioning the integrity of Mr.president, however,it still points out that we are evolving in our democractic marathon. The Law makers, are also not helping out as they continue to announce series of laundering and all forms of financial misconduct without atleast a result of one purely concluded, prosecuted and confiscated making the whole drama a chase by Jerry on Tom.
One would expect by now that, the missing funds would atleast have a successful story of one discovered, buh the mockery and assault of our collective intergrity and competence continues unabated.
The judiciary which is adjudged the hope of common man is also occupying the front row of mere espectators. It is often believe that when life is worthless, fear is banished, suffix to say that soon, the elite class who is constantly subjecting the Youth which am one of em,will kneel in d streets and receive their mob sentence.
My submission,is that they should plz stop bringing this their financial recklessness to the limelight since at the end of the day,no one is made to face penalty or held responsible for such rape of our conscience.
Let me stop by saying that their mere rehtorics will fail them in the day of reckoning which is near by the way.For man's inhumanity against man shall never go unpunished, certainly must be revenged,if not by God then by Man,for the reigns of bad over gud is just but temporal.I rest my pen

We need revolution now!!! And d Bible states clearly dat d Kingdom of God suffereth violence, and only violence wud take it by force...we need to mobilize ourselve now and say NO to oppression, corruption and intimidation....let's go on twitter and create a platform! I believe that we are not being very sincere about probing NNPC because all the hullabaloo about the endemic fraud at NNPC have been corroborated by the NEITI (Nigerian Extractive Industries) audit. The subsidy for one is nothing but a scam.If it costs about N150.00 to import PMS from Europe, with all the associated charges for Freight,Port, Margins, Export taxes, where then is the subsidy for PMS produced within, by the four local Refineries, despite their contrived challenges?Where also are the margins on Kerosene, Diesel, and other by-products, produced within or on the Crude barter programme abroad? Questions and more Questions. What is the relative efficiency production cost (Not NNPC overtly inflated cost) of a litre of PMS and Kerosene produced within? An independent forensic valuation of this will be the way to go, towards full deregulation of the Petroleum industry.

The solution to this misappropriation of fund, corruption and unemployment is very simple. The solution is the Youths coming out in mass to say enuf is enuf! I salute the courage of 4 NIM applicants that sue the FG on behave of the all the applicant for damages. Let all the youths support them and if possible go to court in mass, if they c that youths are very angry I bet u that will be the beginning of our happiness in this country. Youths!!! Youths!!! Youths!!! If we unite and face these useless political office holders in just one week, I promise u unemployment will be a thing of past.

Let's see what will be left after these pigs squander your children's futures away. Thievery is more prevalent now in this regime more than any other Nigeria has ever seen. These people just do whatever the hell the want!!!!!!!! While the struggling population doesn't even have any clue as to how much oil money passes thru this country on an hourly basis. We need a revolution. This bitch uses our money to pay from her and her fucking family to fly everywhere in private jets! What the fuck happened to flying 1st class madam??????? I've been on flights with the former DG Demuren on many occasions. The man will just sit there like an ordinary person reading his paper. This bitch keeps stealing money and no one questions her cos she's fucking in high places!
