Yesterday an unidentified man (later found to have mental illness) sat down at the National Mall in Washington DC, sprinkled fuel all over his body, and quietly set himself on fire. He didn't flinch from where he was sitting as the fire consumed him. Other people around the area had to come to his rescue but he suffered first degree burns. I know this man. He is not a black man and yes he does suffer from mental problems. He has struggled with this for many years. His family is obviously struggling with why he did this and why so publicly. They are asking for prayers for him and his family.
