In furtherance of his declared commitment to doing all within his powers to ensure greater accountability, probity and transparency in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan today established three committees to prepare draft White Papers on the reports of the Petroleum Revenue Special Task Force, the National Refineries Special Task Force and the Governance and Controls Special Task Force.
Please continue...The Committees are to study the reports, review the issues raised, and prepare draft White Papers for the consideration of the Federal Executive Council within two weeks.
The White Paper Committee on the Petroleum Revenue Special Task Force Report will be chaired by the Minister of Labour, Chief Emeka Wogu, with the Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, Minister of State, FCT, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs II: Dr. Nurudeen Mohammed as members.
The White Paper Committee on the report of the Governance and
Controls Special Task Force will be chaired by the Minister of Lands, Housing
and Urban Development, Ms. Ama Pepple.
Other members of the committee are Minister of State, Defence, Erelu Olusola
Obada, Minister of Transport, Senator Idris Umar, and Minister of State for Agriculture
and Rural Development, Mallam Bukar Tijani.
The White Paper Committee on the report of the National
Refineries Special Task Force has Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc.
Mohammed Sada as Chairman, and Hon. Minister of Agriculture and Rural
Development, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina,
Minister of State for Health, Dr. Muhammad Pate and Minister of State
for Education, Mr. Ezenwo Nyeson Wike as members.
The Office of the
Secretary to the Government of the Federation will provide secretariat for the
Committees.

Watch out, after this white paper committee he will set up another committee to look into the submission of this white paper committee before a final committee will be set up to tender the report of the Nuhu Ribadu committee. Ribadu committee is a court and many lawyers will agree with me,any investigative report needs a white paper by the government which goes inline with our law of evidence for prosecution at court...GEJ is right unless selfish loosers want to turn it into politics..

Under Jonathan all we see is commette upon committee, probing of the probers, relooting of the loot, hunting the hunters etc. White paper or black paper nothing will come out of it. GEJ has always demonstrated gross incompetence by appointing endless committees to look into the slightest matter. It is pure waste of money to be paying these committee members yet no result. He is the most wasteful,indecisive and docile president we've ever had. He runs away from responsibilities. He abdicates his duties to committees headed by Sambo, Okonjo Iweala e.t.c so that if there is any failure he will absolve himself - too bad! A good leader should be ready to take the blame, not saying you are not the one that spoilt the road or caused blackout or started boko haram! Why is he enjoying our whealth in Aso rock? He should earn his pay and position! A good leader will rather be part of that committee, discuss with them and take the final decision. In fact there are times a good leader will suddenly take urgent decisions by just privately consulting few sincere and credible people and implementing it in the interest of the masses before the cabal will even have time to sabotage such ideas (in war surprise is a great weapon). As long as it is people-oriented you don't need too many committee and meetings to address some issues it will fly! People will love it and the cabal will be destabilised. Before this committee finishes the white paper now the cabal would have already prepared the neutraliser; it will die a natural death. It is so sad that GEJ does not have a mind of his own; he is too cowardly and vulnurable to have an impact. God save Nigeria!
my prayer for this commitee is for them to work effectively.but i would have suggested that a neutral set of people would have been choosen to make up the commitee not oldpeople who know how the system is ran nd how to extort also.
