Kelly Rowland was accosted by anti-fur protesters at her book signing on Wednesday night and they tried to disrupt the event but Kelly was really gracious about it and they were eventually ushered out.
The 36-year-old singer wrote a book titled Whoa, Baby!, a guide for new moms, and during the signing, which took place in a bookstore in Ridgewood, New Jersey, the protesters gained entrance by pretending to be fans of the singer.
Once inside, they asked to take photos with Kelly and as she obliged and they all stood in position for the photo, they broke out chanting;
“Kelly Rowland has blood on her hands.”
Kelly Rowland is known to wear expensive fur coats. So the fact that animals have to be killed for her to have her fur coat is what the protesters meant when they said she has bloods on her hands.
“This goes out to all the animals that were tortured and murdered so Kelly can wear her fur,” one of the protesters said as he held up a photo of an animal.
Kelly stayed gracious all through their chant, standing off to the side as they protested. They were eventually ushered out and the book signing continued.
