Xenophobic attacks: Shut down MTN, Shoprite, DSTV, others or we will blow them up- Niger Delta militants to FG

In the wake of the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa, a group of Niger Delta militants have threatened to blow up major South African investments in Nigeria such as Multichoice (DSTV), MTN, Shoprite and 16 others if the Federal Government fails to shut them down within one month.

The coalition which consist of militants from Niger Delta Watchdogs, Niger Delta Volunteers and Niger Delta Strike Force, made the threat in a statement released yesterday. The statement in part reads

“Arising from the joint meeting of the Niger Delta Watchdogs, Niger Delta Volunteers and Niger Delta Strike Force held today (Wednesday) in Port Harcourt, we condemn the recent attack on Nigerians in South Africa. We want to state that the recent attack (on Nigerians in South Africa) will mark the end of this nonsense because we will not fold our arms and allow this to continue. We, therefore, call on the Nigerian Government to immediately close down all the businesses owned by South Africans in Nigeria. Failure to close down these companies within one month, we shall mobilise in full force and commence massive attack on the above mentioned South African-owned investments in Nigeria. We shall also make sure that all MTN masts and offices are brought down to naught. We shall strike any property and persons from South Africa within our reach; we will bring down Multichoice (DSTV), Shoprite and others. We will not fold our arms and watch you (South Africans) slaughter our people like chickens for no just cause. We are fully prepared; our professional fighters are already strategising, South Africans must be crushed in Nigeria; our people must be free from these wicked agents”he said

Some idiots here keep saying ....but Nigerians will lose jobs, Nigerians will suffer more if the South African-owned businesses close down. No fools. South Africa will lose big time. All that money repatriated home from nigeria by their companies here will be cut off. The outflow of funds enriches their South African investors back home. These companies pays millions into government coffers as taxes to the South African government. Existing Nigerian companies will take up their places when they leave. We have GLO, Airtel, NEXT, etc. They should take their wines , apples & grapes and get drunk on them and kill each other more while at it. Moronic, spineless beasts who can't challenge the whites still enslaving them but would be yapping at the heels of hard-working fellow blacks from African countries that helped them in their time of need. That's how they shot Lucky Dube, thinking he was a rich Nigerian, a fact which was unveiled during the trial of his killers.

hmm,This is really not going too look Good. NDA boys, remember if you blow up South Africa owned investment in Nigeria, our follow Nigeria youths working in these companies owned by South Africans will be jobless and we will suffer it more. Let the Federal Government do their work to protect Nigerians in Other countries. I know how the American government will act if this was done too their citizen in South Africa.

Nathan, why do you feel threatened by opposing views? What makes you think you're in the position to decide what is nonsense or not? if you're offended, good, it means your beliefs are being challenged.

I would suggest you find your own opinions, express and defend them, maybe you don't know how blogs work...

What an idiot, very bold. Lol

Unknown said...

rarespecie u always drop the dumbest comment on this blog

fool don't u think the other nigerian owned companies will expand? employing more Nigerians.
fool

@bukki how do they put food on your table? Dont you pay for the food you buy from shoprite? Is it for free? Were Nigerians not eating and buying food before shoprite came to Nigeria? Please comment sensibly next time. Dull brain!

Anonymous said...

@Anonymous 09:29 Nigerians will not lose their jobs. South Africans will be forced to sell the companies to Nigerians or Federal government but they will have to change the brand name to a Nigerian name. That's what will happen. It's just like Econet formally owned by Zimbabwe was forced to sell to Nigerians which later became Zain and later Airtel. Receive sense. Common sense is actually not common!
